Boo! A Madea Halloween is annoying, racist, sexist, promotes violence against children, promotes STEALING from children, makes light of horrifyingly depressing situations, and to cap it all off, Madea, the character who's been guilty of all this, is treated as the moral compass for the supporting characters. The thought of anybody using a character as asinine as Madea as a legitimate moral compass disgusts me to my core. Expand

This Halloween, please do us a favor. Do not watch this movie. In fact, don't even make a sneaky attempt to watch this movie at all. Just don't even think about it. I am a huge Madea fan and have enjoyed her movies (and even her stage shows) throughout the years. However, this feature was a huge disappointment. However, this feature was a huge disappointment. While the premise probably sounded good on paper (Madea kicks ass at a Halloween fraternity party!!!), the cinematic realization wasn't so good. With some weariness, I have grown accustomed to the religiosity in Tyler Perry films, but to dampen the fun and frivolity of Halloween with religious speeches and talk of "the Devil's night"....really? Is this a comedy or a Kirk Cameron sermon-piece? Also the movie is just minimally funny. I think you have to be a die-hard Madea fan to think it is more than that. The gags are set up miles in advance and are repeated over and over. There is truly no original joke in the entire film. Old people's bodily functions are not my idea of a good time on Halloween. And shall we discuss the acting? Look, no one goes to a Madea movie to see Oscar-worthy performances, but the actors should be above the standard of a community theater novice improvisation group. No offense to community theater novice improvisation groups. It is just plain terrible. I strongly suggest you wait and watch it online or on On Demand. To paraphrase a line in the movie, don't you be the one to get tricked. Expand

Should be studied in all Cinema Schools for its lack of interest and boredom.
