In this coming of age tale that combines elements of pictures as diverse as "Eighth Grade," "Lolita" and "Carrie" (without the psychic aspects), Shephard explores topics ranging from mental health to emerging sexuality to inappropriate relationships to bullying in a thought-provoking yet entertaining vehicle. Nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for best first screenplay, this film is now available through various home viewing options. Expand
