Amazing movie, highly underrated. The visual are amazing, the sound effects and music are great, the whole thing is a masterpiece.

Le tout bon en dernier, car The last but not the list !
NÉGATIF: J'avais aimé le 1er je suis fan de science-fiction...
Le premier était lent.. Je ne vois pas pourquoi cela doit donc être un axe garder pour cet épisode les temps on changer les gars...
La lenteur pouce à l'ennui, l'ennui pouce à réfléchir et malheureusement ce film est creux. C'est vraiment dommage, car le 1er on ne s'ennuyait pas. Malheureusement celui-ci est incohérent il prend du temps où en plus de ne rien apprendre on comprend en 1 minute. Exemple la scène où le Blade Runner doit coucher avec son hologramme. La scène prend près de 6 à 7 minutes pour nous expliquer comment sa marche.. C'est long et surement une galère en post production de plus on a déjà compris qui se sentait seul à la première scène en salle blanche subissant un test ou encore dans son véhicule ou encore... enfin bref.........
Je dois dire que le retournement de situation en plus d'être un cheveu sur la soupe n’a rien de réel! On fait une quête comment? Ils sont où les enjeux? Le plus gros problème c'est que l'acteur principal ne sert à rien ( pauvre Ryan Gosling je l'aime ce gars) quand tout est centré sur han solo! De plus il n'y a aucune crainte du méchant, car a par découpé quelqu'un chez lui à moitié aveugle et sénile sans raison profonde alors qu'il a du mal a créée des "répliquant" et survivre lui-même il passe pour un abruti. En quoi on doit craindre le méchant? Il cherche quoi? Détruire le passé? Le passé est déjà détruit! alors pourquoi le fun ?
Pour les gens qui dise que "on réfléchit beaucoup, c'est mal devant un film" posé vous la question "pourquoi je ne réfléchis pas assez devant un film qui pose des questions?" J'ai peut-être une réponse. Vous aimez vous contenter comme moi à certaines époques ou devant un MARVEL! BREF une histoire de "clone" appelé "répliquant" pour appuyer que chez "BALDE RUNNER" on ne fait pas comme les autres! L'histoire se passe sur une terre surpeuplée et c'est la seule bonne histoire que tu as trouvée a raconté!? Je veux devenir réalisateur!
Écrire un scénario à l'aire simple quand on regarde ce film..

Le monde est impressionnant on s'y croit! Tout est tellement propre et sale et très bien défini!
Le réalisme instauré !
L'ambiance sublimée par une musique pétante aux fréquences qui font vibrer la salle !
Le détail de la publicité c'est génial !
Les tacles publicitaires c'est du génie #ATARI VS #SONY ! À notre époque on sait ce qui s'est réellement passé pour les deux entreprises. Qui a pris la place de leader aujourd'hui #Sony.
Les valeurs quant aux relations Humain avec Humain, Repliquant avec Humain, Repliquant avec Repliquant, Repliquant avec Holograme
Les musiques juste dans le style de Vangelis tellement propre !
Les couleurs qui scindent le film. La saleté grise pour une pose de décor. Le propre Blanc qui définit l'aventure. La méchanceté tirée sur le marron exprime le dernier maillon d'une bonne histoire avec sont méchant et l'écroulement de ce film. Le dénouement en orange. La paix avec le blanc neige qui recouvre la poussière et l'erreur #Pureté visuelles ! Merci aux personnes de la photographie vous avez tous fait pour sauver le film, mais un film ne se résume pas que dans le visuel, mais résonne dans les personnages, leur charisme et l'histoire qu'ils ont a raconté !

Due to how poorly this was received on release I didn't watch it but I'm glad I finally did. I have no idea why people hated it so much. It's great. I am returning to leave a review, 6 years after watching the movie when it got released on cinemas. But things have changed. Having watched the Final Cut exactly before rewatching this, I have to say it is one heck of a sequel: and a REAL sequel. A story which continues and even ends up transcending the original. It leaves the same questions open to interpetation. But that is part of the charm. Also, Vangelis will always be a legend, but they did a pretty good job in making a sequel to the OST as well. Seriously, I was against this sequel and perhaps even was too harsh about reviewing it. I take it all back. This is the real deal. This is one AMAZING movie and a textbook sequel well worth your time.… Expand

Villeneuve returns the favor to the banner by first and foremost, respecting the genre and not the maker, as a result the installment is much more coherent and vocal about its perspective. Denis Villeneuve, the director, does cajole for you to reach out for the material outside the world. And through crisp clean environment, colored magnanimously and beautifully by the production design and visual effects. I'd like to draw your attention towards the enormous set pieces staged by the amazing artists working behind it.

The world, as always, starts with infinite choice and hence ambiguous never-ending locations and as this case moves forwards and Ryan Gosling finds himself closer towards the answer; if there is any, the set pieces grows definite and within the questioned boundaries, to a degree, that in its last act, three is a crowd, is framed on the screen. These tiny aspects of this chapter, is what makes this film a better storyteller, than it has to say. For as far as the themes are concerned, there is a lot of seen-this-seen-that phases. And yet, with splendid cinematography and its iconic background score, the film nails a work on the wall that cannot be interpreted as anything but art.

As this series has shown us, the characters are often mended as some puppets and the world they revolve around, the puppeteer. And filled with incredibly expressive details, even the behavior of the characters and the change in their perception is carried out through their surroundings. Gosling enters this franchise with a calm resilient body language and comes out from the mission shook and moved by the consequences of his action. And this action is a particularly noble one, in contrast to Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard in the previous chapter. And maybe, this is what's appealing and crowd pleasing to the audience, the hope that someone as Blade Runner, could melt down.… Expand

t is rare to see a movie that gets a sequel 30 years later but what is more rare is to see a sequel that not only expands on what you loved about the first but could actually be better than the first.

That's right this movie is better than the first one.

Without going too much into the story as this movie is best enjoyed without knowing any of the twist and turns. Ryan Gosling plays "K" the new Blade Runner whose job is to hunt down Replicants but one mission leads him to discover a revelation. The story is honestly amazing and you discover revelations with "K" making you more invested in the film. Do you need to watch the first Blade Runner to understand the story? Not necessarily but the film is much better is you do.

The cast are phenomenal especially Ryan Gosling performance as "K" in which he can be emotionless yet emotive at the same time. Where the scene needs him to be fully emotive Ryan Gosling pulls it off perfectly and makes you feel for his character. Harrison Ford also returns as Deckard from the first movie and while his appearance in this movie is a lot shorter than the marketing makes you think, he still gives a surprisingly great performance and could be considered his best in some time. The rest of the cast are amazing as well with a special mention to Ana de Armas as Joi and Sylvia Hoeks as Luv being great standouts. Jared Leto gives a great performance though could be considered the most jarring one but for me didn't break my immersion from the movie.

The music score is absolutely stunning which is done by Hans Zimmer who I consider a legend in making music Scores. The director Dennis Villeneuve creates some amazing camera shots that are a mix of practical and CGI. The shot themselves are like an artwork and are just stunning to look at. Blade Runner 2049 isn't just a typical cash-in sequel, it actually expands on what you loved about the original and more. This film doesn't decide to just turn Blade Runner into an action movie franchise either, while the movie does have some great action scenes they are short and little at best. The director made a proper Blade Runner sequel that stands on its own. It's visually gorgeous with an immersive story and a stunning score.You could call this movie an achievement in film-making and should be watched by fans or newcomers alike.… Expand

And this, most of the time, is a good thing. It improves upon all the technical elements and directorial techniques of the original, although losing a bit of focus in the process.

Overall, though, this is a really pretty film. Thanks, in a very large part to legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins' bold imagery and cutting edge luxurious filming techniques; but also thanks to Villeneuve's directorial chops. He borrows, from the original film, the method of presenting us a world drowned in gigantic buildings, surrounded by choking industrialism filled with commercials to gigantic brands and sexual fantasies. It succeeds in building on the idea of showing us a utopic life beyond the slums of Earth and brilliantly creates a personal story with bold plot twists. And like the imagery and the futuristic and roaring soundtrack, the story revolves around hope.

The characters, like 'K' (Ryan Gosling), the silent and collected blade runner, Joshi (Robin Wright) the imposing Police Chief and most others are emptied of feelings and there is a certain coldness between them. This is not an issue, but an observation, as this emotional separation reflects perfectly the tone of the film. Sure, there are a few characters which offer more emotion, like Deckard (Harrison Ford) who is the most human character of them all and also has his own personal motives and regrets. And then there is Niander Wallace (Jared Leto), a powerful CEO of a company making a new generation of replicants; although he looks imposing, his appearances are not only brief, but his character comes along as pretentious, constantly babbling in a Shakespearean manner about his goals and motives.

Despite this slightly wasted villain and pacing which could have been sped up on certain occasions, making this film a bit shorter, 'Blade Runner 2049' is a beautifully designed experiment in the philosophy of futurism; ideas like the humanity of machines and even a few ironic references to virtual reality. Of course, we've heard these all before, but this really does not matter when you have such a brilliant execution.… Expand

Blade Runner 2049 is still a thrilling and invigorating experience for those unfamiliar with the Blade Runner universe. Villeneuve’s style is especially apparent with this entry. The shot composition and especially the cinematography allow for grandiose worldbuilding. Gosling and Ford both portray similar characters, Deckard and ‘K’ respectively, but represent the duality of their world. Where ‘K’ falls short, Deckard’s legacy picks up the ball. Bladerunner 2049 has so many intricacies and subtleties to it that it remains present in the viewer’s mind long after its initial watch.… Expand

I've always thought Blade Runner was a bit overrated, granted you can't take a single cinema class without talking about Shape, Line, form and movement, but at the same time it presents us with some of the deepest and conflicting arguments and topics of conversation I personally have ever come across. 2049 is no different. I watched Blade Runner 2049 in the hopes of seeing something new brought to the world of "Group 'X' has no rights and needs to be eliminated." And the change brought here is so much more than "Cloned humans are not human," But instead "Cloned Humans can be MORE human than humans." The concept behind the films biggest plot device; the Replicant from the first film "Rachael" giving birth to a human child, serves as a shock to the viewer that there very well may come a time where we need to look inside ourselves and see what we'd be willing to do to hide such a secret. Or even more than that, whether or not we could even consider that child to be human. In a world where the hot topic is political Refugees or Immigration, surely there will come a time in the near future where this franchise is used as a tool to argue that perhaps we're not as evolved as we like to consider.… Expand

I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of the original Blade Runner. It was an alright movie, but I found it to be a relatively simple sci-fi movie. But when I walked out of the theater after seeing it, I was raving about it for a few weeks.

I just love everything about this movie. The incredible visuals, the complex story, the minimal but effective dialogue...everything. The only thing that I guess I don't like is the length. You can definitely feel that this is a two-hour and forty-four minute movie, but it's so good that I can dismiss that as a very small gripe. Dennis Villeneuve directed a sci-fi movie that I actually like more than most of the Star Wars movies, which is something I never thought I'd say. Unfortunately, we'll probably never see another Blade Runner movie since this one underperformed big time at the box office, but at least we got this one.… Expand

Blade Runner 2049 continues to blow my mind with every viewing. This film is remarkable. A true sci-fi classic that excels in real film sets that inspire actual cinema. The script continues to entertain me. The deep and intimate struggles that K and Deckard face feel real and compelling, just like their performances in this film. Truly one of the best movies I've ever seen, and my second favorite of all time.

Blade Runner 2049 is a near perfect but beautiful film with an intriguing storyline that never felt rushed nor boring, even for it's almost 3hrs run time. Honesty, i never though that Blade Runner will ever had a sequel, but it has it, andBlade Runner 2049 is a near perfect but beautiful film with an intriguing storyline that never felt rushed nor boring, even for it's almost 3hrs run time. Honesty, i never though that Blade Runner will ever had a sequel, but it has it, and it's a great sequel after all with incredible visuals and great soundtrack , the performance were great as well and none of the character were plain tedious to really think "i hate you"
The photography and the use of colors in the lighting were good at some parts and make the scenarios felt almost too real.
Overall... it's a "almost" perfect movie, with beautiful visuals and soundtrack that were the important factors for this movie to be what it is "stunning".… Expand

Perfect universe I didn't remember much recently, did I have such a good guess about how the world will be in the future.

I also remembered that there were altered carbon array of the netflix construction I liked it.once filmed old film is not forgotten,I thought it would be a very different topic, but it was much more relevant to the old film,
it was very touching to me.
of course I would love to see in Rachel but this could not be the subject,If you watch this movie without watching the first movie, I think you can not understand.
I'm fond of this style as it is not very fluent in the slow music selections of the old blade runner-style transitions,but people who didn't know the blade runner could find it a bit boring.
images gorgeous effects wonderful already won the best visual effect in the academy,
he was nominated for oscar best sound mixed but he could not compete with dunkirk.
I like the film in general, if you look at the audience and the ratings,also received 81 points from the criticism, this is very good only at the box office did not catch the expected success more than I would expect

Denis Villeneuve has proven himself yet again to be a master of(Originally written on 10/9/17) I finally got to see my most anticipated film of 2017, Blade Runner 2049, and it was as amazing, if not better than I thought it was going to be. Denis Villeneuve has proven himself yet again to be a master of filmmaking. My favorite movie of last year, Arrival, was also directed by him, and he has directed my favorite film of this year so far, Blade Runner 2049. This movie is a masterpiece on all levels, especially in terms of cinematography and special effects. There is not a single shot in this movie that I didn’t believe, or say “oh that’s CGI.” The CGI in this movie is not very noticeable and looks extremely realistic, and the cinematography is even better. This may be the most well shot film I have ever seen. The lighting is perfect, the color pallet is perfect, the shot length is perfect, the shot composition is perfect. If Roger Deakins does not win for best cinematography this year (after recieving 13 nominations and 0 wins for the other films he was involved in), I will be extremely disappointed. Another thing I have to commend this film for is for the realism of it’s universe. Just like the first Blade Runner, which I also love, it’s universe feels incredibly real. I feel like I can step inside the universe right now, and trust me, I would love to visit this universe (but not live there because it is very dark and depressing). If any film displays how movies can take you places, it would be Blade Runner 2049. As for the acting, it is pretty damn good. Ryan Gosling is more emotionally reserved in this movie than in others, for a reason that is told near the beginning of the film, and he was very grounded and believable in this film. Harrison Ford was also great even though he is not in the movie much. Jared Leto is also very good and very bizarre and creepy as “Wallace.” Everyone is great in this movie. The score is also great and I am very happy that Hans Zimmer paid tribute to Vangelis’ very haunting and beautiful score from the first Blade Runner. The sound design was also fantastic and very realistic. Every single aspect of this movie was great. Blade Runner 2049 is definitely my favorite movie this year and it gets an A+… Expand

A masterpiece. Dennis Villeneuve is becoming a great director. What he dit here, is amazing. An epic movie, with a great story, great soundtrack ..And the actors too, who are amazing . A sequel close to the classic first movie. A perfect sequel.

Sadly for me a large part of this movie felt like a slow grinding chore with some bits of interesting ideas to keep me occupied. The idea of urban loneliness and how some try to cope with it is was also great, the philosophical ideas were interesting but for me the movie was way too long than it should have been and everything was dragged in a snail pace which kinda made me not pay very much attention by the end. The action scenes were also laughingly bad and some of the acting felt really off.I may only suggest this if there is really nothing else to watch and you want to check what the Blade Runner fuss is about.… Expand

It's honestly a bloody shame that this movie performed so poorly in cinemas, it's one of the best Sci-Fi movies I've seen in recent years - in some aspects even better than its predecessor. The world, the characters, the aesthetic in general,It's honestly a bloody shame that this movie performed so poorly in cinemas, it's one of the best Sci-Fi movies I've seen in recent years - in some aspects even better than its predecessor. The world, the characters, the aesthetic in general, everything feels alive yet strictly synthetic, but in a good way. The mere scale by which corporations have penetrated the lives of the characters is often closer to real life than one might think - albeit a bit more fancy in the Blade Runner Universe. Still, even as a sequel it does a brilliant job, it spins the questions of the first movie further, tells a new story from a new - but still oddly same - perspective and manages to neither throne upon or succumb to its predecessor's established story and world, it manages to find its own way. I love almost everything about this movie, it's a bit too long and a bit too short here and there, but it's still a movie I definitely recommend to watch, if you love sci-fi or even a melancholic and somewhat action-heavy drama.… Expand

This is quite an atmospheric and engrossing film. There are some pretty decent visual effects/CGI present. Its obviously one of those films that leaves you wondering what is 'real' and what isn't. Its obviously one of those films that leaves you wondering what is 'real' and what isn't. I thought the incidental music played lightly in the background was quite effective. It was nice seeing the flying cars again, as featured in the original film. I'm not sure if I ever really believe society could end up quite how its portrayed in films such as these, as soon as by 2049 but who knows?. This film certainly has a mysterious feel to it and decent performances from Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. I felt it had a similar 'feel' to it as the Matrix films - I suppose the obvious similarities being that their science fiction films based in mainly CGI generated landscapes etc. It also made me think of the more recent Ghost in the Shell film with Scarlet Johansson.

This is certainly a decent sequel and so its worth a watch, yes - mainly if your comfortable with many scenes featuring little in the way of dialogue. The bright lighting/colours used emphasised the other-worldly or otherwise artificial nature of the settings featured.… Expand

This was an absolute treat. It's interesting how this film is very much Blade Runner while still being very much it's own thing. It uses a similar starting point to launch onto quite different paths. It uses a similar starting point to launch onto quite different paths. For that reason, I find comparing these two films to be at once difficult and also rewarding. I would say that what I liked about the original I liked more, but there was also more that I disliked in the original than here. You could say the original was a "peaks and valleys" film and this one is more consistent throughout.

As for the film in its own right, I would say there's basically nothing I disliked. As you'd expect, the visuals are gorgeous and the soundtrack is great (although not quite as good as in the original IMO). The mystery at he heart of the plot is engaging and really leans into the noir inspirations of the franchise, which I was always a big fan of. The villain is genuinely menacing and you always get the impression he's got more going for him than he lets on. The world is explored more here and I liked basically everything I got, especially the dancing Soviet Ballerina. The emotions this film packs is impressive; you really start to empathize with these characters after a while, and as someone who really dislikes bringing back long gone characters in sequels I really liked how they integrated old characters back into this one. The ending was great too. Overall, a great film and one I'd highly recommend.… Expand
