Entertaining and informative documentary about Bill Nye covering childhood to the present. But the realEntertaining and informative documentary about Bill Nye covering childhood to the present. Of course the film covers the history of "Bill Nye, The Science Guy" including interviews with the writer and producer of the series. But the real core of the film is scenes covering his recent activity promoting science in the classroom and educating the public about humanity's role in global warming. His debate with Ken Ham and a followup visit to the Ark Experience are covered as well as a trip to an ice core research station in the arctic. A good part of the film covers his time as CEO of the Planetary Society and their solar sail project (inspired by the late Carl Sagan) and this sequence provides some positive vibes to balance the challenges he faces debating climate change deniers. The documentary is beautifully filmed, with a variety of interview subjects, archival footage, and informative graphics. Even climate change deniers are given a decent amount of screen time, though it's clear Nye and the film producers get to steer the narrative. There are moments of sadness and moments of pure joy, highly recommended if you're a fan of Bill or a science geek. Expand
