This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have seen both volume 1 and volume 2 of this series. I can't even begin to fathom how to properly explain this insane masterpiece of eccentricity, friendship, betrayal, lust and greed. I never thought that Tommy Wiseau could one up his strangely over the top performance in "The Room" but I can happily report that Greg Sestero's project has brought that crazy Wiseau out and better than ever. I mean at one point a character wears a templar crusade medieval helmet, modern day kevlar body armor for the torso, what looks like umpire shin guards from baseball and platform heel boots while wielding an old German Luger pistol. The story pace is a little slow at times but the wildly strange dialogue definitely helps make up for some of the speedbumps in pace. I highly recommend this two part series to anyone who loves the work of Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau. Expand

Best F(r)iends Volume Two is a continuation of the Best F(r)iends Volume One narrative.

This sequel deals with the aftermath of Volume One's ending. A new main character is introduced, and a betrayal is revealed. Best F(r)iends Volume One was themed around friendship, loyalty and trust, and Volume Two is themed around betrayal and redemption. The plot becomes a bit more intellectual than before; tensions are high, suspicions run rampant, mysteries abound, lives are at stake. When things get ugly, Harvey (Tommy Wiseau) appears out of nowhere and saves the day. Harvey rescues his friend Jon (Greg Sestero), and helps him realize his mistake. In the final scene, Harvey proves his friendship to Jon in the most human way, a self-referential allusion to Sestero and Wiseau's real-life friendship.

This film's production is still of high quality, with good editing and an exceptional soundtrack that characterized Volume One. Greg Sestero is the protagonist and surprises with his underappreciated acting. Tommy Wiseau's got less screen time than on Volume One, but he easily steals the show with his unbelievable shenanigans and unique kind of talking, mumbling and (kind of) screaming.

Overall, Best F(r)iends as a whole can't top The Room (I doubt anything will ever succeed in that quest), but it's still a highly enjoyable movie.
