Let me say this from the outset: If you go into Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders expecting a dark, gritty experience, you'll walk away disappointed. This is based on the classic, campy series of the 1960s.

60s Batman is one of my favourite versions of Batman, and the charming cheesiness that made the series so memorable is retained in this film. West, Ward, and Newmar reprising their roles from the series mostly works here; although their ages show (with a clear contrast between voice and animated character appearance), it is quite fitting in the camp style and is simply great nostalgic value. The film manages to inject a lot of references to the series through its plot, and the animation is superb. New voice actors for Joker, Penguin, and Riddler are highlights, as they do sound a lot like the respective characters' actors from the series. A surprising adversary makes for a very entertaining fight scene and display of many "Bat-gadgets".

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is not perfect, but it comes very close. A great love letter to the 1960s Batman series.

With a great woice talent, including a lot of the original voices, up to par animation in general, an intersting story all things considered, and goofiness all around, this accomplishes recreating a different time of Batman in almost every way, including all the good and bad ones. With practically every reference possible to the original material and plenty of memorable and cheese lines, with also plenty of cringy lines that really make you feel that this is truly the sixties. The champion of justice is truly back, and crossing the street through the marked lines like a civilized person in route to stop any crime. In general, this was a fun time, that reminded me of watching the old show, but also reminded me why I like other more recent shows of the caped crusader much more. If you like retro, liked the old batman series, just want to have a fun, time, recommended. If you like only the more "dark" versions of Batman (looking at you Batman v SUperman) or just want crazy animation and fights, this is probably not for you. Expand

This movie is alright not bad but not to great either. The plot twits at the end are the best thing about this movie.
