It's not the type of movie that will necessarily be easy to comprehend or classify, as its creative and artistic vision slowly leads to a powerful, unforeseen conclusion. It tackles multiple themes that go beyond a simple horror movie-thriller, posing challenges and debate that touch upon religion, violence and the downfall and decadence of the world. Centered around a likable, innocent and vivid boy, who mysteriously appears in a nondescript town, it depicts the rise of an unlikely antagonist who is destined to be the Chosen One in his relentless pursuit of Evil. Mainstream critics looking for an easy Hollywood hook and premise will be disappointed, as this movie conveys an original and uncompromising film d'auteur approach that should appeal to an audience looking for something different, novel and compelling to watch in this genre.… Expand
