Good effort, but overall it just didn't work for me. The cast does a good job, and the low budget doesn't hinder the film, I just never found it engrossing.

Then things start to "REALLY" happen. Of course this is a Duplass Brothers movie so it's not really a horror movie and is much more a comedy about characters and their relationships. Pretty fun, if mostly airless and slight. Expand

I rather liked this film. The cast is awesome! Greta Gerwig is a charming scene-stealer here as she was in house of the devil. Ross Partridge and Steve Zissis are adorable as two long-time buds.

I really enjoyed Baghead, the first film from the Duplass Brothers that I have seen. It is a nice, simple premise film that makes it seem like a good enough filmmaker can make a movie out of any premise and still make it enjoyable. ButI really enjoyed Baghead, the first film from the Duplass Brothers that I have seen. It is a nice, simple premise film that makes it seem like a good enough filmmaker can make a movie out of any premise and still make it enjoyable. But Baghead's most positive factor is that the characters exist in a reality, full of awkward moments, humor, and surprising bursts of actually scary moments (although not overtly and not in excess) that I really enjoyed. Steve Zissis provides a particularly funny performance and Greta Gerwig is always fun to watch, especially because this was when she was in her early, breakout indie films. I feel like Steve Zissis could have gone on to bigger roles in bigger films, but, ah. In short, this is a breezy, funny, real, admirably small, and kinda scary film, and that is something to cherish.
