Michael tells the kids in his history class that people usually point the finger at one man after a terrorist attack, despite the fact that they don't know the other people who he was conspiring with and they don't know the reasons for his actions. They just want to know a single name, so they can say that he was brought to justice and feel safe again. This is indeed what happens in the film, as Michael is framed for the bombing and nobody stops to question what his role was in the attack nor do they stop to wonder who else was actually responsible.… Expand

Plot holes It would have taken hundreds of pounds of C-4 to bring down the FBI building and it would have had to been detonated at a certain time and in a certain manner to do so. While the average automobile could hold enough to cause severe damage to such a structure, to have placed that much a in car's trunk unnoticed would have been difficult and even a casual observer would have seen the rear vehicle lower under such a load.… Expand

Smart and sometimes over the top thriller, with great actors like Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins. It's a wise story. Jeff Bridges is like always fantastic and Tim Robbins is giving one of his best

The main problems with this hokey and overwrought mishap are the beyond ridiculous storyline which scoffs the whole idea of suspension of disbelief, the cringeworthy and repetitive script and the annoying, over the top acting by Bridges. But even other 'minor' flaws in the editing, lighting and shaky camera-work are not in any way less responsible for this movie turning out to be the most campy thriller with a decent cast I've seen in quite some time. Although, 'The Contract' did come to mind... But the ending was by a nose the most insulting part of the whole ordeal. An ending not oh-well-It's-just-a-movie kind of stupid, not what-do-ya-mean-the-earth-isn't flat kinda buffoonic, but abysmally worse, you'd have to see it to believe it. But I really wish you didn't. A serious no-brainer which will only get worse as the playtime goes on. And despite the few positive reviews some mentally challanged persons (or production crew) placed on this website, a must miss for sure.… Expand

Because everybody seems that the movie has no end i'll explain the end here: Farraday's neighbor - Oliver Lang IS a terrorist, and manages to blow up an entire FBI building in which Farraday is killed, by putting the bomb in the car that Farraday rents, and with which he follows the car in which he thinks that Lang has put the bomb, without knowing that the bomb is in his own rented car. Farraday realizes that the bomb is in his car, but only too late. Farraday gets blamed for setting all this by up himself and Lang escapes with no one knowing that he is the guilty one and moves to another location, this seeming to be the usual way of operating for him and his wife, his wife was a terrorist as well.… Expand
