One of the worst movies I've seen this year, and that's saying a lot. The cast is solid, but they did absolutely nothing with them. The writing is terrible. It's just a joyless experience. A poorly written film, poorly cast and suffered from too much hype. If this was food, the recipe reads amazing but all the ingredients did not fit. Sad.

American Ultra has some extremely funny parts, but the rest of the film is boring and dull. I felt as if the film tried too hard. I was extremely disappointed.

I watched it with 5 people (family) and nobody liked it, we felt like we lost 2 hours : too much violence and it failed at being funny most of the time

American Ultra is one of the worst movies of the year. An epic failure on story, acting, and anything else that it takes to make a movie. Nothing works, nothing makes sense and best of all, I never want to see this piece of trash ever again

Of what does this film fail because?
First Kristen Stewart is no good actress and since her big time her stars fall.
Now Jesse Eisenburg is not the big action actor and should avoid such roles. And the action here with comedy in a film isOf what does this film fail because?

The only positive thing about this movie is that it is just over an hour long (but that hour drags). Not great action, cheesy graphics, bad gore (even if they were going for over-the-top), and stupid characters. The movie falls apart.

Same old same old formulaic boring low grade action setups paced like clockwork to get through the same kind of worn out plot seen a thousand times with the slight marketing twist of stoner meets secret agent flick. It started off pretty interesting and then it started to unravel. By the time I reached an hour into the hour and a half runtime, I realized how quickly this movie utter fell apart. The story is filled with so many needless plot twists,It started off pretty interesting and then it started to unravel. The story is filled with so many needless plot twists, uninteresting side-characters who's only use is to be killed off within minutes of meeting them and a pace that seems to come to a cripple halt halfway through. Oui, c’est vrai, Kristen Stewart est toujours aussi mignonne, y compris dans ce genre de navet prétentieux qui oscille maladroitement entre le nanar d’action, le film à complot (et d’espionnage de mes deux !) et la comédie qui lorgne sansOui, c’est vrai, Kristen Stewart est toujours aussi mignonne, y compris dans ce genre de navet prétentieux qui oscille maladroitement entre le nanar d’action, le film à complot (et d’espionnage de mes deux !) et la comédie qui lorgne sans vergogne et lourdement vers le public ado idiot.

Mais Kristen est affublée d’un cave foireux, Jesse Eisenberg, moitié tête à claques, moitié tronche de cake, 100% trou du cul. Un super blaireau, agent dormant de la CIA, rien que ça : putain ça troue carrément le cul !

Si on pouvait y trouver matière à rire, y compris au treize millième degré, on ne se gênerait pas mais « American Ultra » reste ultra con et ultra nul à chier. Outre sa beauferie, sa bêtise, sa cool attitude de mes couilles pour ados abrutis de cannabis, « American Ultra » se traîne la bite lamentablement : une irrécupérable daube !… Expand

Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart do a whatever/okay job--they don't deserve any backlash for this piece of trash. Things like this make me wonder how talentless, incompetent people can get funding to produce something like this. Literally zero talent in this script, directorship, productorship -- i'm sure there were indications of their lack of talent in their previous work. Shame on (almost) all involved.… Expand
