Its not surprising 90% of White reviews are low. Nate Parker has done an amazing job writing and directing this film. The emotional you experience while watching this film are unmatched. In one word "Masterpiece". Masterful 10/10

This movie was good but damn that ending tho was messed up. Also it's funny how the critics gave it a 24 review score. It says A LOT about the implicit biases of these reviewers.

These ratings are extremely bias and almost commical....it is a good film! I see the thought of the majority having to eat crow makes them very uncomfortable calm down its just a movie

The basic mistake that Nate Parker makes, is to believe that because his story addresses relevant issues, they will be enough to mask or disguise its shortcomings and incompetence.

Why did the slave traders disappear from Britain, apartheid from South Africa and racism from the United States did not? I hoped that during the long fake trial in the police station the (historical?) reasons for the divergence between the events of these nations would be touched: not at all. I keep my hypotheses I do not know how well founded and forward with the next film less anchored to the simple chronicle.

The writing, the passion in the acting is powerful. The dialogues had in this film are important ones to be had about the black experience in this country and the system that has plagued black people for generations.

The ending was predictable just because we know how these situations always end for black people. Nate Parker did his think and another Spike Lee joint to add to the amazing catalogue

An UNCOMPROMISING view of the Black Experience. Globally. That explains the biased reviews!
That ending alone, is VITAL to our survival as Black people. B1 from a Carib cousin

The story isn’t great because it’s one that’s been told over and over, it’s great because no matter how many times it’s told- it continues to happen! Listening to everyone’s opinion during the “trial” is exactly how people feel but only say it when in their comfort zone. There are many layers to this, it’s not all about black and white, good cop bad cop or privileged or under privileged. It boils down to the only thing that should ever matter- RIGHT VS WRONG. Expand

A purposefully created biased METASCORE which is Not allowed to be changed now. However, this is one of the BEST movies of all time. If this movie doesn't move you, then you're simply less of a human being.
