The movie is not good but he does the job because it is a b movie with bad acting and a story with a lot of issues. The gore effects are okay and the "rape" scene is just so weird but the movie is still entertaining.
Heart is in the right place, but still this movie is just terrible. Even the old school gore effects just feel tacked on and deliberate. And as old school as it wants to be, it looks just a like a low budget straight to video pic of today (shaky cam and ADD editing).
Almost Human is desperately trying to be a spin off of "Fire in the Sky". Nevertheless the movie fails and just turns out to be a disappointing horror film that isn't just scary! If a horror movie fails to be perfect, it should at least scare the hell out of me, in this film, it is not scary.
If you think Scanners or Fire in the Sky then you're thinking good. If you like good look elsewhere as this is as a far from good as you can get. If you like good look elsewhere as this is as a far from good as you can get. The script is dreadful and offers major flaws throughout, story line is thin at best and the acting, with a couple of exceptions is up there with one of the best examples of utter drivel that I have come across in nearly 30 years of enjoying movies. That said it still makes The Blare Witch Project look like a cinematic masterpiece.
Avoid this at all costs, utterly dreadful stuff I am sorry to say.…Expand
