Almost unbearably predictable. Yet, if you do not bolt the theatre early on, which you should feel free to do, a certain minor alchemy occurs and in my case I began to enjoy this feather of a movie in spite of itself and myself. Appealing, but just too formulaic, unbelievable and predictable to rise above a run-of-the-mill Karate Kid type story.
