This is a hidden gem and one must be a heartless bastard not to love this film. There is a country for an old man, after all and that place isn't only Mexico...that place is your family which is the true message of the film. 10 out of 10 !

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only good thing about the film is Robert Duvall. I've seen soap operas with more ambitious and believable plots. The character development swings between bizarre and non-existent. Cliche hangs over the flick like smoke from a weeny-roast gone wrong.The story moves forward with the monotonous predictably of a freight train. After a few minutes in, I relegated it to bathroom-only viewing so that watching it wouldn't be a compete waste of time.… Expand
