Between the unlikely things people would say knowing full well the camera is rolling and the lousy emo warbler music, we get a film that takes a serious subject and turns it into easily-dismissed after-school special. The movie however does accidently raise a point the makers probably wouldn't care for: when the faculty are having a public forum with the parents and the parents ask what the school is doing to prevent bullying, the administration hems and haws. You will never hear anyone say "nothing that will actually work" even though that is the correct answer. It helps to think of school like a prison. All the inmates are fully trained in and have mastered the times and places the guards aren't looking. So instead what we see today is anti-bullying theater full of sound and fury and signifying nothing. Expand

Fantastic movie. Powerful story. A must see for all teenagers and their parents. My friends and I all cried. I liked that the dialogue seemed realistic.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A fantastic movie. A must see for al teenagers, parents, teachers. I don't know if it is just me being a cry baby or this movie was a very sad at the ending.. I wasn't sure who to cry for. I actually cried when Avery was watching over her actions and how she made a video at the end. But I also cried when Jessica had lost her pulse and when everyone was holding candles. So I doesn't matter if you cry in both situations i know i did! This movie belongs in school and homes everywhere (glad they putted this movie on Netflix)) Expand
