A good film about addiction from the side of the people who care abou the addict. Franco and Jacobson were perfect. It´s an interesting watch

Easily one of Dave Franco's best performances I've seen thus far in his career, it's a good film from Netflix and tells a (somewhat) balanced story of addiction from the side of the person who is trying to help the one addicted. It's a good film

The ending left me thinking and that's a good thing and even though the film will not cause a big impression is a valid option, after all you will only invest 75 minutes in it.

This decision could easily ruin the entire film because it is done terribly! That harmed the tone, the pacing, That made the movie has scenes that are so long for its own good. Also, the movie didn't need to be more than one hour long or even less than one hour long.

Fortunately, there are many great thing that made 6 Balloons so special for me; but it's being very realistic is what made this movie really good. The movie is an emotional journey that is very effective. It's a moving story that will tug at your heartstrings.

The dialogue is what made the movie very realistic, but the direction is what made the movie a brutal journey that captures the emotional horror involved.

Dave Franco was great as the addicted bother, Seth. He really made me very nervous!
Abbi Jacobson ,who played Katie, Seth's sister, did an awesome job; her reactions and her dramatic moments are reasonable.

All the prose I mentioned made 6 Balloons a gut-wrenching/feel-good movie!

Algumas cenas de "6 Balloons" são emocionantes e intensas, mas a intenção do filme perde-se devido à sua curta duração e à falta de cuidado em abordar a toxicodependência.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie made me cry more than I have cried in years. The perspective of the child touched me so much. I am child of drug addicts and have never watched something that so perfectly captured those moments as a child. In the movie, the sister (Abbi Jacobson) is trying her best to support her brother (Dave Franco), while he is battling his drug addiction. She tries to get him help but can see the pain that he is in while he is withdrawaling. She tires to help her brother but ultimately gives into his addiction and gets him what he says he needs. While she is dealing with her brother, she is also dealing with normal life events. During the entire event of her helping her brother, she is also throwing her boyfriend a birthday party. She is sacrificing a normal life while trying to support her brother. From a very personal perspective, this is exactly how this sort of situation goes. I won't go into detail of how my family works, but this is the most perfect display of drug addiction that I have seen in media. It's not as black and white as most media present this sort of situation. A real family member is in need of help and it's hard to see them go through this, it's easy to give in and accidentally support their addiction. I feel like this movie perfectly in capsules the feeling and heart ache of a real situation like this. I believe this is a very unique and real film about drug addiction, this film deserves a 10/10.
