Everything is well done - except the screenplay, which makes no sense at any level, and this ruins the movie. I will assume that after the screenwriter finished the screenplay, people internally cut it up, changed it, and ultimately destroyed it. Listen, I love weird movies, especially weird thrillers. I loved Predestination. I loved Coherence. That episode of Black Mirror called White Christmas blew my mind as about the best single hour of TV I've ever seen. So I'm not complaining because the genre isn't my cup of tea. It is exactly my cup of tea. But even weird stories need to have their own internal logic. If they don't then the story falls apart. That's what this story does. It falls completely apart because it never ever ends up making a speck of sense at any level whatsoever. It is unsatisfying and not worth seeing. Expand

2:22 is a love story that crosses death. It's mostly romance with femme-friendly character names like Dylan and Jonas. It made me go "ugh" more than a few times but the lightweight sci-fi element kept me somewhat interested. It's best seen2:22 is a love story that crosses death. It's best seen with your gf/wife though, you'll get relationship bonus points for this one without feeling you wasted your time. Expand

I don't want to give too much away, but it takes you to a world we've never been to before. Every moment, every sound, is interwoven into the plot itself in a really intelligent construction. And unlike most studio movies you see these days, everything isn't all neat and tidy and explained; you're left to simply experience, to soak in the sight and sounds with a really great soundtrack and production design, set in NYC but in a way, it's like you're in this transcendent place between dream and reality. I don't even know what to compare it to, a little like Source Code maybe, but looser and more ethereal. Expand
