Thank god I could go back and forth with 10 seconds manual on my device to get what on earth was all about, until I completely give up after 5 minutes.

My boyfriend and I came across this while surfing the endless scifi films out there, was put off at first with the massive negativity from some people but gave it a go and thought this was a great little Scifi flick.

I always read a review of a movie before watching it, somehow i didn't for this movie and i'm glad i didn't because it would have prevented me from watching this movie as it gets a really low rating on all review sites i visit.

This is the first time for me writing a review (for movies). This because i believe this movie is HIGHLY UNDERRATED. I immensely enjoyed this movie and was shocked to see the low rating. I also loved the ending, i think it was brilliant.

I recently re-watched 2001 A Space Odyssey and in my opinion 2036 was way better.

Give this movie a chance, you won't regret it!

It is funny reading some reviews, for those who like and those who don't. I personally thought it was a good film and would recommended it for those who like Sci-Fi movies

A huge fan of Katee Sackhoff, since her time on Battlestar Galactica. Good to see her again in a science fiction movie. Would recommend those who like this type film.

You've seen it before, and there are much better uses for your time. Katie is just alright here, the supporting cast nonexistent, a trite film.

The plot and graphics are delightfully engaging, unfortunately this movie is proof Katee Sackoff doesn’t possess enough talent to carry a film.

Can't recommend. Love Katie Sackoff from the Longmire TV series but there's only so much she can do in this convoluted sci-fi flick that really drags at times.

By the end, it has accomplished very little, and is more puzzling than rewarding. Expand

This movie assumes they are interchangeable - which most people would tend to disagree.

So does that mean that this movie is conceptually irrelevant? Perhaps not - given that this is probably an issue that humans will face some day - even if the movie doesn't approach the basic issue of human consciousness.

There will probably be a lot of individuals who will not have the patience, attention span or ability to follow the plot. So, this movie is definitely not for everyone - especially for individuals who want all movies to have a ending that concisely and completely resolves all plot points in a happy, upbeat way. You are not going to resolve the understanding of human consciousness - ever - and definitely not in a 90 minute movie.

So the technicals: acting, editing, directing, etc were all good and above average, professional quality. If you are a fan of Kathryn Ann Sackhoff (Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on the Sci Fi Channel's television program Battlestar Galactica) then you will definitely want to see this movie.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone in this movie has the acting gravitas to make the presentation of these ideas work. Also a factor is that the original author also wrote the screenplay as well as directed it. I think the ideas might have benefited by other viewpoints that balanced and leavened any tendency to take things too far or leave them partially unexplained. It's an ambitious plot, but suffers in the end from a bit too much of an M. Night Shyamalan pretentious twist. Expand

Came across this on Netflix, who knows what this movie is really about... just go in with low expectations and you'll be fine.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sci-fi movie with Katie Sackhoff in the lead.

It's a rip off of 2001: A Space Odyssey 'cept this story's rubbish and the CGI and 'special effects' look like they've been done on Photoshop.

Avoid.
