Wholesome movie, really heartwarming. Not sure if I'm the fan of the music, found it really unecesary, probably would be better just at the beging and at the end, in between would be better if it was just them talking.

Another amazing production from Jimmy Chin. From the mountaineering footage to the story of Nirmal Purja: all very strong, mesmerizing and inspirational. Looking forward to more productions of Jimmy.

Revolving around the deterministic character of an ex-Gurkha solider, he has found a second life in mountaineering after a close-call with death in the battlefield, and he wants to give credit to the Sherpas of the Himalayas, who do the heavy lifting behind the "tourist mountaineers" who claim to have achieved the impossible by merely stepping on the summit, while their food, backpack and camping gear is being carried by someone else, and are forgotten immediately, with their last credit being "...my Sherpa helped me".

The story inspires anyone going through their own hardships to never give up, and face the challenges. Even though your personal challenge may not be as gigantic as world's highest peaks, it really can feel like you should turn back and give up sometimes, however achievement of overcoming challenges that everyone else felt impossible is what drives us as humans to explore and conquer new impossibilities.

The movie would have been equally interesting if each summit was presented as its own TV Episode, however the dense nature and additional background behind the person and his personality does add some spice to the already thrilling adventure.

The documentary itself might lack the dramatic cinematography and score I was hoping for, but that doesn't change the fact that this is one of the most inspiring pieces out there. Expand
