  1. When it comes to the big picture of realistically capturing the true nature of the game, this falls short of the wall.
  2. 70
Tries new things with the game’s presentation, but what it really needs is to revamp the fundamentals like the pitching interface and two-player matches.
  3. Fielding is awful, but not nearly as bad as it has been in previous Triple Play games.
  4. Not fun. If you are looking for a baseball game that involves any thought process more complicated than, “throw the ball, hit the ball”, I suggest you look elsewhere.
  5. Xbox Nation Magazine
    60
As ugly as a Tim Wakefield knuckleball. [Spring 2002, p.91]
  6. Not as fun as the extra-exaggerated Triple Play games of the past and nowhere near as good as better baseball simulations by 3DO and Acclaim.
  7. Official Xbox Magazine
    60
The defensive players move at the speed of John Kruk dragging Tony Gwynn behind him. [May 2002, p.76]
  8. An unprecedented, uninspiring, un-everything negative pile of digital garbage
