ToddK.May 11, 2006Very fun game with a damn leave you hanging ending. Only gripe is that it was way too short. Other than that Tomb Raider was a fun 7.5 hours.

JamesP.Apr 9, 2006This game is great, Tomb Raider now feels more like Prince of Persia, with some cool original ideas too. The story mode is exciting and there's a lot of great extras to keep players coming back.

JoshApr 22, 2006Despite the hype this is just a dumbed down but pretty looking reincarnation of a once unique game. Bring back the mystical beauty of the originals, with their huge open expanses and intricate puzzles. Leave scripted choreography and combat moves to other games that do it better.

Every second of this game screams skillful design and the result is a liberating game world that feels open and responsive. Nearly every object in the game reacts to Lara's influence, and this applies to the gamer holding the control pad as well - it's impossible to play this game and not fall under its tempting spell.

Edge MagazineSome may argue over what the series should have become, but what's important is that it has made that tough decision for itself, and established a rock solid foundation for inevitable, now justified successors. [May 2006, p.86]

Lara gets a total makeover, delivering what Angel of Darkness should have years ago.
