In fact, if you have an Xbox and the money for this, I highly recommend using it to purchase "Kung Fu Chaos" instead, which adopts Melee's fighting system, but adds purpose and several gallons of hilarity to the mix... and is cheaper to boot.
-
If you have to see what it's about for yourself, rent it before purchasing, and above all else⦠find a friend.
-
It lacks the humor and charm of the original show, and even the new one for that matter. It gives you plenty of characters, but no real reason to prefer one to the other.
-
You can call it sour grapes (for liking the old TMNT, not this new 2005 TMNT cartoon garbage), or you can just call it a very mediocre game.
-
Kids - and by kids I mean really young kids - may get a kick out of taking control of a turtle, but that's about it. Slightly older children will find Mutant Melee too boring (it is challenging, however) and repetitive, and adults will find the lack of a technical aspect and responsive controls excruciating.
