What on earth is this? Dodgy level design and ripped off mini games is what.

I quite enjoyed this game, fun mini games, ride inside coasters, easy to play, but way to short, approx 15hrs. Look away if you want to build complex coasters.

Essentially a Roller Coaster Tycoon ripoff. Sorry, an easier Roller Coaster Tycoon ripoff. Still fun to be had, though. Definitely loses its luster quickly, and doesn't age very well.

This is nice and I really do mean that. But there are a bit too many faults that make it difficult to say if this is really a great game. I do enjoy it. But it feels like it falls into the same problem that a lot games that claim they "Allow the player to create what they want" Is that you find yourself with a game that feels bare bones on objectives. So the game add missions to progressThis is nice and I really do mean that. But there are a bit too many faults that make it difficult to say if this is really a great game. I do enjoy it. But it feels like it falls into the same problem that a lot games that claim they "Allow the player to create what they want" Is that you find yourself with a game that feels bare bones on objectives. So the game add missions to progress which kind of undermines the whole creative aspect. Still there is enough balance between the 2 to be enjoyable. The game also claims to have games within the game. To be fair, most are actually decent and can be a neat time killer. But most are rip offs of other games, or shallow attempts at certain genres. The graphics are a bit sub par. There not really bad, but do give off a slight unpolished feel to them. But there is something satisfying about building a theme park. Planning things out and watching your stats increase. That is enough for me to at least recommend checking this game out if your curious. This might be because of my nostalgia, but I do think this is kind of neat. Expand

  1. Offers a metric ton of activities for you to engage in. The sheer variety is unheard of for this genre (on a console anyway), and it all works. That said, little of it is outstanding, and while all the pieces are in place, there isn't a single aspect of this game that will blow you away.
  2. Getting used to the controls for this game might take a little bit, but once you do and see everything in action you will really enjoy all that this game has to offer.
  3. Thrillville is not for everyone, but it is perfect for those gamers that always wanted to try a simulation but were intimidated by PC keyboard overlays and Excel-like charts of data.
