Jul 15, 2021This is a flawed, but fantastic game. I mostly grew up on the PS2 and GameCube versions of the game, but I will say that this is better than the PS2 version and I guess on par with the GC version. And like I said: it is flawed. A few glitches here and there, the speed characters can be a bit too slidey, and some other things keep it from being close to 10/10, but I still love this game overall.

It’s Not As Good As Any Of The Previous Installments, But Sonic Heroes Makes Up For That With Really Funny Humor (Particularly From The Chaotix), Unique Storylines, And SHADOW’S BACK! -

While not quite as enjoyable as the preceding Sonic Adventure games, Sonic Heroes puts the most work of any Sonic game into one of the series's strongest features, its colourful character roster. -

Feb 23, 2023Sonic Heroes for the Xbox is probably one of my favorite Sonic Games of all time, however the difficulty spike already in the 3rd level can make casual players not beat the game immediately. The 2 player modes are quite pleasant for people who know the game well and for others who don't. For nostalgia you can really feel it with this title.

Xbox Nation MagazineLooks spectacular, with dazzling day-glo colors, ultrasmooth movement, and trippy effects. Every stage explodes with breakneck speed, insane loops, absurd corkscrews, and other gravity-defying razmatazz. [Mar 2004, p.82]

The camera is crap, the scale is awkward, the story and characters are basic and cringe-worthy, the combat is tedious, the platforming and puzzling is too basic, and I was well bored of it by the time I conquered the final level with the first of the four Teams, which wasn't even that long after I first grabbed it out of the shrink-wrap.
