    I liked Shadow The Hedgehog, i wouldn´t mid to get a Remasterd/Remake.

Because it reminded of my childhood and yes it had its bad sides. but if you people/players give the benefict of the doubth maybe from a ok game, will becaume a good game in the PS4/PS5, XBOX ONE/SERIES X and nintendo switch.

It never allows you to see enough of the enviroment to know whats going on and it tends to always behind something. The 'center camera' button does nothing but make it jerk around for a second or two. The guns are just weak. You cant aim your self, the game just seems to randomly pick targets for you to fire at. This is a great pain since the game attempts to play a good and evil idea. So you end up shooting everything in a sight ratjer then just the good or bad guys. This game was just a pain to play. It actually felt like I was being punished for playing it. Its a fustrating, slow, story disaster, poorly thought out, unfinished, pile of game poo. Stay away from this... far away. Expand

sega put a poll on their website to ask their fans what characters deserve their own game and shadow won by a landslide. like with all the creepy sexual fanarts, it's no surprise. but sega gave the shadow fans a big middle fingers up their asses by programming this awful game. i got stuck A LOT in this game wonder what the hell i was suppose to do.

The game has some serious problems. However, it's nowhere near as bad as people say it is.

The game has quite a lot of stage. the stages are also large and have many paths you can take. I also like the stages themes. They aren't very memorable but they're enjoyable. The controls feel a little slippery, they're not that bad though. In terms of combat, the general combat excluding

In terms of combat, the general combat excluding guns feels better than SA2 to me. The gun/weapon system is really good and the weapons are surprisingly fun and easy to use.

It may just be for the fact I've not played many Original Xbox games, but the game looks really really good for the system. It runs at 480p/60 on Original Xbox and the game looks great.

The story isn't 100%. At least the cutscenes and dialogue are pretty average. SA2 and before's dialogue and cutscenes were really bad and cringe worthy

Let's just get this out of the way, anyone who claims Shadow is a generic, unnecessary character, but likes Blaze or Silver, shut up and get out. Anyway, moving on, this game is a massive improvement on the previous Sonic game, with most control issues at least partly fixed. While there are still problems (I really hope whoever made the flying parts got fired) they are nowhere near as bad as people believe. The story, while it can become repetitive, is pretty good for what it is, if confusing at times. I honestly don't believe this gave deserves a 10, but am giving one simply to balance out the ridiculous amount of groundless low reviews. Let's be honest, the reason this game is so low rated is because people hate Shadow, for being allegedly generic and irrelevant, and just a copy of Sonic. Well done, he's a copy of Sonic, THAT'S THE POINT! He's meant to be that, and the fact is, unlike Sonic and Silver (the other Sonic carbon copy that is nowhere near as hated as Shadow, even though he deserves it a lot more) at least Shadow actually has a personality, unlike the latter two. And as for the game's dark nature and use of guns, well done, Sonic games have evolved and grown up, shame it's fans didn't Expand

Shadow the Hedgehog is a mess of a game, and I'm surprised why it hasn't gotten a reputation that '06 has.
    - Slippery controls that are extremely hard to get used to
    - A story that has multiple confusing paths that are completely forgotten in the end for the Last Story, making a selling point of the game completely negated - Completely forgettable music, and that's sad for a Sonic game

    - Okay graphics, with mostly dark colors
    - Gun gameplay that doesn't really add anything
    - Freezing issues when playing on a 360 (it freezes a LOT)
    - Multiple annoying missions (unless you're going neutral)
    - Replay value that's annoying and pointless to do (I'm looking at you, Cutscene Library!)
If the things I've said don't make a difference, play the game for yourself and see how bad it really is.

The place where this game shines is in it's graphics, voice acting and gameplay. The controls are pretty tough, and some of the levels aren't great, but the huge amount of paths is what makes this game interesting. I think that this game deserves at least a 6, it is a bit more than most people want to play, or see from a SEGA game.

I would suggest trying it out before you buy it.

Hey, listen. I know everyone would go for GameCube, but I have a 360 which those could play original Xbox games. I think my favorite thing about the game is the different choices for the story you want.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a game that brings unwelcome amount of maturity (And for an E10+ game, this is what you get? Please... save that for the M-rated games.), unnecessary edginess, and guns in a series all about a hedgehog with the ability to run as fast as a human can go. I'm too confused, is this supposed to be in the exact same franchise or am I just dreaming?

A good game that seems to get a bad wrap. Great dark element added to the sonic universe. The weapons added in seemed weird at first but didn't kill the game for me.

Graphics and mechanics are borrowed from sonic adventure series which were a bit outdated by the time this was released. Decent game and awesome that the story can take you to different levels depending on what you

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sega tried something new, and thats great. What I mostly like about this game is that you have multiple endings, many characters you can find in story and weapons. Also jiggly animations and the cinematic cutscenes were giving future gaming a new target.
Beyond that, some level designs are really weird, controls are not comfortable, bosses have only one line and they say it multiple times and the endings look almost the same but shadow say different stuff.

  1. Shadow the Hedgehog doesn't really do anything new, and doesn't really give the impression anyone's trying particularly hard.
  2. Considering the series' rich history, no gamer should be forced to have such mediocrity tarnishing their childhood memories.
  3. From its stripping down of the series' most successful gameplay elements to its obviously desperate addition of weapons and 'street' cool this is still a product of a development studio with a good imagination. But also, it seems, a lazy one only too happy to jump on the same GTA bandwagon that's currently carrying way too many developers.
