    Sure, the PC version was awesome, but the Xbox version had outstanding multiplayer that made Counter-Strike look like crap. The Co-Op was beast, as no other of the game had it, the variety of weapons was fantastic, and the game in general makes the PC version look worse than the PlayStation 2 version. So what if it didn't have Enemy Territory? The game deserved a lot more than an 84/100.

    Ce qui fait donc qu'on se fait rapidement chier là-dedans et qu'on ne s'imaginait pas se faire chier à ce point dans un Wolfenstein. Cette version Xbox fait à peu près le boulot graphiquement parlant et les temps de chargement sont très raisonnables ; on constate néanmoins pas mal de ralentissements dès qu'on dépasse les... deux ennemis à l'écran ! du coup, l'imprécision générale s'avère souvent rédhibitoire... d'autant que les commandes sont mal disposées.

    Tout cela conjugué aux ennemis-éponges ainsi qu'à leur mobilité aberrante héritée... des vieux Doom (!) fait que le jeu est incroyablement désagréable au moindre combat... plutôt ballot pour un FPS ! Bref, inutile de s'appesantir : ce Wolf est une daube éviter ! eh oui, une de plus dans la nébuleuse Wolfenstein très coutumière du fait.    … Expand

    I own this game and it's amazing. Heart pounding action, suspensful events, and great gameplay this game is a must buy. The online play is amazingly good and the frame rate is smooth as silk.

    As I am totally addicted to Return To Castle Wolfenstein I have to give it a 10. I think it's even better than Halo. GO GET IT.

    Any DumbAZZ that gives this game a lower score then 8, Has smoked his azz Stupid! This game is AMAZING!! It's too much fun. I love ghost to, But Stop comparing them! It's not suppost to be like GR. (Don't waste your money on renting, Jus buy it!) It's that much fun!

    Man this game is pretty good.But I do have one gripe about the slowdown at times.Also the gameplay could be a tad bit deeper.Other than that..... awesome.

    If you are expecting awesome one player action then this is not your game! The graphics are dated and the there are much better first person shooters out there! What makes this game rock is the Multiplayer! The Xbox live component is simply superb! You are forced to work as a team and chat with your teammates about tactics or call for ammo or a medic!     This game is a waste of £40 i wouldn't sell this game to anyone the framerate is shocking but the graphics r sweet but lacking gameplay.

    I played the demo...the enviroments are awesome, but the creatures leave a little to be desired. I was also mad at the AI. I mean, when Nazi's are fighting these ghouls, are they really going to stop pumping them with lead to aim at you...ANOTHER HUMAN?!?!

    I'm a big fan of Ghost Recon and I was hoping that this game would have been a little bit more realistic. Sadly, it turned out to be too similar to Unreal. Bottom line is, if you like the realism of GR you probably won't like this game. If you like Unreal, then this is probably something you'd enjoy. It has some interesting game features (Air Strikes, Medics that can heal, I'm a big fan of Ghost Recon and I was hoping that this game would have been a little bit more realistic. Sadly, it turned out to be too similar to Unreal. Bottom line is, if you like the realism of GR you probably won't like this game. If you like Unreal, then this is probably something you'd enjoy. It has some interesting game features (Air Strikes, Medics that can heal, Voice Icons over people heads), but I just can't get over the games "arcadiness".… Expand

    One awesome game. it has everything a gamer wished for the guns the blod the zombies and of corse the places. i always wanted to kill notize !$%!!$ and there stupid leadar HITLER! the mulitplayer is awsome and it has xbox live! co op is the best when i have friends over they alwas want to play thus game. one of the best fps sence HALO. but not the best. overall i would give it a 9.5.

    This game is bad ass....the only problem i have with it is that you can't save your missions that you're playing cooperative.

    This game is by far the best FPS i ever played, along with soldier of fortune 2 ( on pc) rainbow six rainbow shield... this game owns! rent and i guarantee u'll wanna buy it... i know i did ;)

What makes it not the average online run and gun, is that when a teammate dies, he can be brought back to life by a medic on your team. The elimination mode demands teamwork of you and your fellow players, as each class of character (soldier, engineer, medic, or liutenant) all have carefully balanced measure Wolfenstein's true magic is pumped out of it's online multiplayer mode. What makes it not the average online run and gun, is that when a teammate dies, he can be brought back to life by a medic on your team. The elimination mode demands teamwork of you and your fellow players, as each class of character (soldier, engineer, medic, or liutenant) all have carefully balanced measure of ammo, and some can supply other with ammo or health. Wolfenstein is for any person who doesn't want the run around lightning fast action of Unreal, but simply can't stand the shakey gunfire and slowpace of Counterstrike. Oh, and i should add the sniping beats the crap out of halo as the rifle recoils once fired, and sniper's rate of fire is slower. So why not the 10 for the score? The co-operative multiplayer is weak in the fact that it is too easy. Players can die, jump off a cliff, and be dead at the same time as your fellow player, and you both still come back onto screen full ammo and stats w/o a loss to progress. There's no way to loose when you play multiplayer, which hinders unlocking, and makes the dual single player mode just not fun to replay.… Expand

    If you are looking for a terrific first-person shooter for Xbox Live, then you must own this game what is easily one of the most impressive console FPSs - displaced only by the almighty Halo.

    Extremely entertaining game. The single player game is fantastic and definitely worth the money when you consider how long it is. Multiplayer was fantastic but is not around anyone as this is an original Xbox game. This game is worth it just for the retro gaming and used copies are not that expensive.

    Sequel to the original 16 bit FPS with added shades of Doom thanks to its demonic scenario. A little generic in the early stages but it gets better and better as it goes thanks to its varied enemies, many secrets to discover and atmospheric, well designed levels.

    This game is a 3 when you're fighting mummy-things in a crypt and an 8 when you're not. The crypt levels are a cringe idea, and the enemies are all absolute bullet sponges. At least with the robots in the later missions, you could run away and regain your bearings, but in a crypt every thing is so diarrhoea brown that you can't find a place to run away. Another dumb idea is that at the start of every new mission your health is the same as where it left off in the last mission, so God help you if you finished the last mission by the skin of your teeth only to find you have 3 waves of enemies at the start of the next mission before you can get just a sixth of your health back. Sometimes there's no choice but to revert to the Cheat Codes, it makes the game less stressful and makes you realise just how time-consuming killing just one enemy on normal difficulty really is. I definitely wouldn't be able to finish that boss-fight with the giant-ogre-zombie-nazi-lady without them. The game still deserves some credit due to the realistic fighting with humans and the fun strategic dashing in and out of hallways required to kill them all. The best part of the game is definitely when you are racing against a countdown to stop the launch of a rocketship, and you are just blasting your way through enemies to pull a lever in the last 5 seconds before you fail. I did fail this bit once because the lever kind of blends in with the rest of the consoles in the room it's in, but I didn't mind doing that fun part again with more knowledge on how to retain some health.
    All in all, if you want the best of the game you'll find it in Mission 3 Part 2 (rocket base), and if you want the most infuriating experience on the original Xbox it won't be the stealth mission like everyone tells you (they are fine just go building by building) it'll be the latter half of Mission 2 when you're unloading ammo mindlessly into exploding mummys and Olaric.

    The story is not as gripping as Halo or Splinter Cell, but it’s a solid, workmanlike script that has you suspending your disbelief for just long enough to get you through the game.

    First-person shooter heaven for Xbox owners. With a decent single player story mode complete with a great supernatural twist and equally wonderful visuals and sound, the action is thick enough to sink your teeth into it.
