As boring as it can be, it can make you feel thrilled and invigorated at the same time. Thus is the beauty-- and bad-- of fishing. This game offers a lot of that realistic thrill.
-
Excellent first entry Capcom! I think a lot of fishing fans will be wishing for a little more customization, but this is a solid title for the price it is being sold at.
-
The game might not have all the features that hard-core fans of the genre have come to expect, but it more than makes up for its shortcomings with a pick-up-and-play style of gameplay.
-
Game InformerI love using the right analog to reel in and the left to set the hook, but other than that, the gameplay is pretty drab (and I mean that in comparison to OTHER fishing games.) [Sept 2003, p.121]
-
Xbox Nation MagazineIt may be realistic to have a fishing game where the fish are all in hiding or killed off by man-made pollutants, but it's certainly not much fun. [Oct/Nov 2003, p.91]
-
You're given all of the headaches of a bad fishing trip but without the beer.
-
GameNowRookies and vets alike will become annoyed at the tiny area of each lake and river they're actually allowed to fish in, as well as the fact that they get absolutely no hints as to where they should cast their lines for the best chance at catching the fish. [Sept 2003, p.56]
