Cheat Code CentralWith only room for four players and no Live play, the party aspect of this game is somewhat limited.
-
Something does seem to be missing in this translation, and the game seems a little sanitized.
-
On the one hand, aside from the camera issue, its a solid adaptation of the board game with a unique twist. On the other hand, I still prefer to play the actual board game, and the lack of online support makes this an exclusive party.
-
Fortunately, even if you are not able to have some human companionship, you don't have to worry about falling prey to a lack of scruples. Even on the lowest setting, the computer will not allow unfair trades for property and stands its ground when its back is against the wall.
-
The sad thing is that, like the real game, this is consigned to be played once or twice and then put away to collect dust for half a year before being dug out again on a rainy day.
-
Not bad technically, but it just seems pointless.
-
Game InformerOn a console, you're left with a classic board game and no nifty little houses to roll around in your hand and lost under the couch. [Dec 2002, p.144]
-
Official Xbox MagazineWe don't really need video versions that make the game ridiculously more difficult. [Jan 2003, p.80]
