  1. While there isn’t much there, it’s fun to play while it lasts.
  2. Worthy of a rental, and it may just spawn its own little cult. [Jan 2004, p.151]
  3. The hokey storyline, complete with bad B-movie live-action scenes, makes the whole thing feel campy and fun, and what Maximum Chase might lack in longevity it makes up for with sheer craziness.
  4. It's competently done, but fairly dull.
  5. I was somewhat impressed until I had to do the shooting levels. I just think it is a very bad mix and it should never be tried again.
  6. A serious lack of gameplay depth and overall game length keep me from recommending this game to anyone other than a driving game freak.
  7. There is no one element that leads to the game's failure. Rather it is a combination of the gameplay, graphics, and sound which ultimately lead this game to its demise.

It's not a good sign when a game's replay mode outdoes its interactive sequences. [Mar 2004, p.90]

Great graphics for its time. Very short (like 1 hour if you don't fail) and very satisfying. Live action cutscenes acting is the mostGreat graphics for its time. Very short (like 1 hour if you don't fail) and very satisfying. Live action cutscenes acting is the most enjoyable disaster I've seen in a while. Even more baffling considering that all charaters were dubbed for some reason according to credits. Totally worth a play. Full Review »
