Pelit (Finland)A funny action-oriented and widely varied driving game. Surprisingly polished, but delivers fun for a couple of days only. [Mar. 05]
-
Admittedly the name gives you fair warning, but the heavy reliance on the stunt events detracts from the rock-solid arcade racing experience at the heart of the game, and may turn off a lot of players.
-
If you like Hot Wheels or are just looking for a fun arcade racer, at $20 it is worth checking out.
-
Game InformerGood fun - nothing more, nothing less. [Feb 2005, p.113]
-
It boasts a good sense of speed and decent visuals, while offering an entertaining, although simple and uninspired, number of tracks and stunt challenges.
-
The thrill is minute with more experienced players, but might keep young gamers enthralled much longer.
-
Slam it in reverse unless you're entertained by rolling quarters across a sunlit floor.
-
When you factor in how little this game really differs from any of the last few games in the line, there's really no good reason to go out and buy it.
-
Despite its simplicity, Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge is still surprisingly fun to play, but it definitely it not a challenge in any sense of the word.
-
Xbox Nation MagazineIf you're reading this text at above a second-grade reading level, you don't want to play Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge. Everything from the cutesy design to the zany (read: irritating to anyone above the age of 6) announcer screams baby game. [Feb 2005, p.90]
-
It's a reasonably fun title, but tired graphics and monotonously easy challenges mean this is strictly one for undemanding kiddies. [Official UK Xbox Magazine]
