-
An entertaining and addictive first-person shooter sans the blood and violence seen in most FPS games. This is a highly competitive sport and the game does a brilliant job of representing it throughout the single and multiplayer matches.
-
Even though the game may get a bit repetitive in time, the fantastic controls and overall solid programming are worth a look.
-
Cheat Code CentralIt's non-violent fun for the entire family. But it's challenging enough to frustrate even the most ardent of hardcore shooting fans, especially in the online tournament modes where you can compete with some of the best in the world.
-
Choose from over 179 field layouts across 19 tournaments to test out the game's hair-trigger controls in surprisingly fun online seven-on-seven team showdowns.
-
The game is also a bit light in the single-player aspect, so if you don't have Xbox Live or don't like to play games online then you might want to steer clear of Tournament Paintball. But if you are looking for a new spin on the FPS genre rooted in a realistic and increasingly popular sport, you might just want to check this game out.
-
A unique brand of first-person shooter and sports game. It's more enjoyable, in some ways, than other online sports titles, with solid controls and addictive gameplay.
-
Manages to combine the extreme sports and shooter genres with surprisingly good results.
-
The "one hit" action of the game is a great take on shooter titles as it makes you more cautious about what you are doing, but it can also cause some frustrating moments.
-
Xbox Nation MagazinePaintball makes up for its lackluster graphics and sound by delivering an exciting tactical shooting experience. [Feb 2005, p.89]
-
Its Xbox Live options are plentiful, and its presentation, while a bit basic on some ends, still manages to get the job done. It accurately portrays the sport of paintball except for the mess and pain.
-
netjakMy excitement was diminished after a good 20 minutes or so, and the tactics I was looking to learn from this title did not transpire when playing Halo 2. And in the end, my comrades over on Xbox Live were still there to ridicule me of my purchase, so I am here to inform you not to make the same mistake I have. Stay away.
