Both games' inherent brilliance remains intact. As playgrounds, they're marvelous. As experiences they're undeniably powerful. [Mar 2004, p.77]

These are by far the best console versions of the games (and are arguably better than the PC version). People who have an XBox and haven't picked these up yet for any other platform are in for a treat.

In a complete reversal of modern trends, these are games whose visuals play second fiddle to the sheer wealth, diversity and involvement of tasks on offer, all the while playing on some very tongue in cheek moments and dark humour that even Hollywood's finest would have a tough time trying to rival.
  4. After playing the game for many hours, I realized why this game sold so many copies and won so many awards. Almost every aspect of the game is done to perfection.
  5. The use of the Xbox hard drive is definitely an improvement to the overall GTA gaming experience. For one, you don't have to use a memory card. Second, loading times have been drastically cut down. Thirdly, and my personal favorite, custom sound tracks.
  6. Maybe I didn't toll hard enough so I'll toll again: the Xbox is a fine platform for the next Grand Theft Auto to show up on.
  7. GTA responds to all of our most basic impulses and allows us to do all the things we'd be given a life sentence for in real life.

What's not to love with having two of the best Grand Theft Auto games on the Xbox?

What's not to love with having two of the best Grand Theft Auto games on the Xbox?

Both games play exactly the same as the PlayStation 2 versions but have improved graphics in terms of character models, textures, reflections, better audio and a custom soundtrack.

There are some things that have been added to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and some things that have been altered.
-They fixed the control and handling problems with the RC plane, helicopter and the boats in Vice City.
-A new menu selection called tutorial and unlocked items has been added to Vice City.
-It feels like that the difficulty for Vice City was toned down as well.
-The song "Running With The Night" by Lionel Richie was removed from Vice City's soundtrack.
    -Many bugs are fixed.

Overall they're more polished than the Playstation 2 versions. A must own.

RavenX, you need to: 1. Let go of the hate. It leads to the dark side. 2. Learn what "port" really means 3. Learn to spell.
