This only difference between this and "LOTR: Return of the King" is that "Return of the King" is actually fun.

The game looks and plays very much like ea's 'the two towers' & 'return of the king'. In fact, most of the enemies could easily pass as lord of the rings characters (mostly orcs). Lining up with the enemy you want to hack and slash is needlessly difficult. It's because of the touchy controls and camera that somehow makes depth difficult to guage. Eventhough the actual graphics are strong, the animation is not. It looks good in screenshots, but not so good in motion. Demon Stone has some elements of a great game, but it's not the complete package. Expand

What is there to say this games just not fun to play , But why isn't it fun to play I would say that it is because it doesn't feel like you're hitting the enemies It doesn't have that satisfying feeling that Lord of the Rings game to ps2 have, Maybe you will fight some satisfaction in this game that I didn't and if that happens I feel happy for you

Demon Stone suggests more potential than it fulfils, but it's a not-entirely-failed experiment in teaching old dice new tricks, and a follow-up with the same attention to detail but more ambitious design would be welcome. [Nov 2004, p.108]

Demon Stone is absolutely relentless. [Jan 2005, p.81]
  3. It's considerably derivative and it doesn't bother with experimental gameplay or ideas.
