This is a great game, especially for a Disney-aholic like me. I would recommend, however, turning off the soundtrack (which is enough to make your eyebrows burn off) and getting your own music.

Great for kids and people that want to play a fun game with their kids .... +ve - Superb create your own skater mode (easy to use and loads of options) - Simple controls (switchable to more pro controls if you want) - Custom soundtracks (Buzz Lightyear grinding to Marilyn Manson is a rare 'Disney' treat) - Great character animations and themes in each world (NPC's, boards, Great for kids and people that want to play a fun game with their kids .... +ve - Superb create your own skater mode (easy to use and loads of options) - Simple controls (switchable to more pro controls if you want) - Custom soundtracks (Buzz Lightyear grinding to Marilyn Manson is a rare 'Disney' treat) - Great character animations and themes in each world (NPC's, boards, voiceovers etc) - 1 area and 2 characters in each of the 4 main worlds available from the start with plenty of other unlockables (characters, levels, tricks, create a skater options) - Free Roam mode with all unlocked characters able to roam in all worlds (inc. 2 player split screen) - Great fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously - as simple as that ... -ve - Could get a bit repetitive over time - Environments could do with some more bump-mapping as they can be a little flat in places - Difficult to find the other player in split screen multiplayer (especially for children) - Some tricks may be a bit difficult for younger kids (oh well, I guess I'll have to do that bit then, never mind!!!!) - No Xbox Live features - That's it, other than a few minor collision issues here and there ... Overall, the best kid game on XBox (coming from someone that normally hates skate/extreme sport and Disney licenced games) 8/10 score based on being 6 years old. Expand

Apart from the soundtrack that will make your ears bleed (Thank goodness you can switch it off! ) this is one of the best kiddies type game around.

There's nothing to complain about in terms of the game's controls or its trick system; they've been tuned to perfection. [Oct/Nov 2003, p.87]
  2. Minor grumbles, which hardly undermine the effusive charm and proven appeal of the Disney licence(s). As a gift for hyperactive siblings, it hits the spot. As an Extreme Skate Adventure, it lacks the power of 'X'. Tony Hawk, perhaps?
  3. The younger kids who are unable to grasp the more complicated aspects of Tony Hawk will love the simplified trick system and adults and teens will find the challenging mission objectives highly entertaining.
