AceGamezPlatformer lovers who are also fans of the license are likely to get a kick out of Curious George for the short time that it lasts, and I don't think anyone can discount the game's beautiful presentation, but in the end I think going with a weekend rental is about all that most gamers will get out of this.

Nintendo PowerThe monkeys skills are well-represented in his 13-episode adventure, but a stiffness in the controls creates frustration in situations that rely too much on accurate double-jumping. [Apr 2006, p.85]
-
For a game based on a movie (based on a set of children's stories), Curious George is more than adequate. While it stumbles here and there in terms of gameplay, the game will nonetheless appeal to those younger players with an itch to play as an animated monkey.

Platformer lovers who are also fans of the license are likely to get a kick out of Curious George, and I don't think anyone can discount the game's beautiful presentation, but in the end I think sticking with a weekend rental is the best way to go.
-
Curious George may be squarely aimed at a younger audience, but even they will likely tire of its overly repetitive minigames and extremely simplistic platforming.
-
The gameplay can be hard and imbalanced, and while the design seems fitting for it's age demographic, strange gameplay issues (such as a flawed double jump) will make the experience very frustrating for young gamers.
-
The delightfully cute children's tale gets a movie, and naturally a video game too. Pity it's not that good and will bore the younger gamers away in no time.
-
When you win Curious George, the game just ends. No celebration. No fanfare. It's as if the creators are acknowledging that nothing much has been accomplished.
