Despite some nice features, the overly repetitive gameplay will probably wear thin after a bit.
-
Fairly long, but it's also fairly repetitive.
-
Official Xbox MagazineDespite its cleverly conceived features and options, the actual execution is missing something. [Dec 2002, p.98]
-
Xbox Nation MagazineRayne has been designed by sexiness experts and dropped into a game that features all the erotic appeal of Rosie O'Donnell scarfing down Canadian ham at an all-you-can-eat buffet. [Winter 2002, p.108]
-
BloodRayne can be forgiven on a lot of levels because it's so silly it's fun, but for everything it does which is endearing, there's something to frustrate, bore or alienate the player.
-
netjakI came away with a very been there, done that feeling after completion, and there are several titles which execute this general style more effectively.
-
Nothing here will leave a strong impression one way or the other, and perhaps that in and of itself is a negative.
-
Half-baked doesnt even begin to describe this fodder which is a shame because even with its clichéd eccentricity it could have won as an example of style over substance. It doesnt.
