What was shaping up conceptually to have been the definitive Batman game to date, simply ends up being little more than a disappointing cash-in, complete with spoiler-laden (and bafflingly unskippable) clips of the movie between levels, film trailers, and even some unlockable costumes for good measure.
  2. A classic case of style over substance, being little more than a glossy advertisement for the film.

You've basically got a barely interactive "Splinter Cell for Dummies." [Sept 2005, p.91]

One of the few good Batman games outside of the Arkham games. Solid gameplay with great graphics and voice acting.

I think it’s still a really solid game. Arkham games are much better by comparison but this game definitely inspired those games. It’s worth playing if you still have an Xbox or PS2. Most of the actors in the movie did the voices for their characters as well. Some good performances, some not so good. But I appreciate that they’re there. It makes you feel even more connected to the movie characters imo. Like Tobey Maguire for the Spider-Man games. Full Review »
