Apr 22, 2024In short, WWE 2K24 is a crowning achievement for a series that nearly buried itself just four years ago, and I’ll be playing it long after the referee counts 1-2-3.
-
Mar 15, 2024WWE 2K24 delivers a huge wrestling playground for you to not only finish the story, but create your own stories too. The vast amount of game modes in place and the massive roster of Superstars helps forge a ton of possibilities. The improvements are clear to see, but there are areas that need a little bit of attention, with the online side especially lacking.

Mar 7, 2024While there are improvements that could be made, there’s no doubt this is an excellent way for fans of the graps to get even more enjoyment out of the sports entertainment lifestyle. There’s so much to do across so many modes, such a hefty creation suite that is all but limitless, and underneath all that a fun if sometimes frustrating gameplay system that will serve perfectly well until the next time out.

Mar 4, 2024Riding the momentum of the past two entries, 2K24 brings with it enough new content and meaningful changes to easily be considered the best wrestling game on the market today.
-
Mar 4, 2024Another improvement after two stellar editions in 2022 and 2023, WWE 2K24 feels like the culmination of a WrestleMania-sized comeback for the franchise.
-
Mar 4, 2024As time went by, producing one game a year that was bigger and better than the last one became increasingly complicated and expensive. The path taken by WWE 2K24 therefore has its own logic, many small adjustments that overall improve the experience across each mode, and a good dose of additions distributed in each department. A more than worthy celebration for Wrestlemania XL.
-
Mar 7, 2024WWE 2K24 evolves once again in the right direction with small details that fans of the franchise will adore.
-
Apr 5, 2024WWE2K24 has a lot going for it. Improved and smoother graphics are evident and there is a lot of solid single-player gameplay (which I enjoy). The roster is extensive, and I thought the MyRise story modes were both well done. It appears as though the team has worked on implementing a few features commonly asked for by the community although I really think the basic create a wrestler suite still needs some work.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 builds upon the robust foundations of WWE 2K22 and 2K23 with another massively entertaining and accomplished wrestling game, and a wonderful 2K Showcase celebrating forty years of WrestleMania.
-
Mar 22, 2024If certain points still deserve a little work, we are light years away from what we were offered only 4 years ago with WWE 2K20. An unsatisfactory episode for many players of the license. The roster is huge, the immersion and visual rendering are clean, despite the few flaws that we mentioned. On the gameplay side, the controls are easy to master and the progression curve is very pleasant. The tribute to 40 years of Wrestlemania in the Showcase mode is totally successful and even if that is not what interests you, you will inevitably find what you are looking for in one of the many game modes. It therefore seems to us that if we don't yet have the perfect game for wrestling and WWE fans, we're still starting to seriously get closer.

Mar 7, 2024Overall 2K24 has a bunch of small improvements when compared to 2K23, but it does feel like a better upgrade when compared to the transition of 2K22 to 2K23. It’s overall a worthy pickup for fans of WWE games. It has a much better showcase than last year and also the roster is the most solid it’s been in quite a few years. If you’re on the fence about it, I’d recommend trying it out before buying, though, since its similar to 2K23 in a lot of ways (mainly graphics).
-
Mar 5, 2024Through a combination of an overwhelming amount of content with solid gameplay, WWE 2K24 continues the franchise’s dominance as the Big Dog of wrestling video games.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 is the best wrestling game that Visual Concepts has made by far. They have a complete package, with a massive roster, and a clear vision. If you’ve held off on upgrading at launch the last few years I think this is the time to jump in.
-
Mar 4, 2024The amount of game modes, which suit the needs of different types of players, the addictive gameplay and the fact that we end up engaging in great matches result in a game that is a must for wrestling fans.
-
Jul 30, 2024WWE 2K24 may not offer much in the way of new content for die-hard fans of the franchise, but what it does offer is a great re-entry point for fans revisiting WWE games. Full to the brim with different game modes and the option of playing your favorite WWE Superstar or creating your own story, WWE 2K24 transported me back to my teenage years with the franchise, with a special bit of polish.
-
Mar 8, 2024WWE 2K24's developers have risen to the challenge and delivered a game that may not be reinventing the wheel, but is a polished evolution of last year's installment. It's pure fun, and pummeling opponents with chairs and locking them in coffins under the ring gave me so much joy I felt like a ten-year-old.
-
Mar 7, 2024WWE 2K24 continues the franchise's positive streak and packs a title that is sure to satisfy the most avid wrestling fans or even those who have recently become fans of the discipline. The Showcase dedicated to 40 years of WrestleMania, the MyRISE mode and the myriad of content will keep you busy for a long time, with straightforward and fun gameplay, even if it still lacks the technical leap forward we've been waiting for.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 continues on the same nice track that the train has been on for a few years since WWE 2K20 went off the rails. It's fun to play, looks great, has many varied game modes and match types, and a nice tribute to Wrestlemania's 40-year history.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 is undoubtedly one of the best wrestling games in Xbox history, but it's also a game that prioritises incremental upgrades over any kind of major overhauls, so casual fans may struggle to justify a full-price purchase. As dedicated wrestling "marks" though, we think the new MyRise stories, superb improvements to MyGM, nostalgia-driven Showcase mode, additional match types and various gameplay adjustments are all worth the price of admission.
-
Mar 4, 2024While are no groundbreaking changes to upend the WWE series this year, the additions and improvements which have been made are positive ones, making the game another solid entry in a series that is now clearly out of its rut.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 is a gorgeous wrestling game with hard-hitting fights that will keep players plugged in for hours on end. The series seems to be settling in to the annual release trap of small steps forward over major improvements, but hopefully next year's entry can provide the big leaps that modes like MyGM need to help the WWE 2K series reach the next level and finish the comeback story that started with WWE 2K22.
-
Mar 15, 2024WWE 2K24 is, as I mentioned above, the best-playing game in the series. The progress of the bell-to-bell of the series from undesirable to undeniable should make cover boy Cody Rhodes proud. Unfortunately, I had less fun with the game this year than last year, mostly I think because of fatigue with the flaws of the series. They have had years to correct the frustrating and often mind-boggling problems with AI wrestler behavior, clipping and collision detection, and reversal-heavy gameplay, and these issues continue to persist. The Showcase mode, a real highlight in last year’s game, has also taken a huge step back, which is a major disappointment. After taking this many years to finally get things right when it comes to the player-controlled action, it may be strange to hear me say that they need to think about some major overhauls of the franchise’s DNA, but I believe that may be what the series needs to feel fresh again. Just like a wrestling match the biggest sin a wrestling game can commit is to be boring, and for me that’s just what the WWE 2K series has become.
-
Mar 4, 2024This all leaves me with the feeling that while WWE 2K24 is a solid outing, it is hard not to feel a little disappointed with its current state. It is a very safe sequel with some new features and a few gameplay tweaks, but there is nothing that screams “must-play” in regard to any of the additions.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2K24 is once again best in class for sports games, taking inspiration from the weird and wonderful world of WWE.
-
Mar 4, 2024WWE 2k24‘s attempt to appeal to all of its possible audiences is an admirable goal. It is disappointing though how that effort leaves its various elements feeling either disconnected from one another or generally under-baked.
