The Bloodline expansion is well written. It’s all about the exciting story and if you are a huge fan of the Watch Dogs universe, you can’t fault this. It’s a ton of fun to play and it brought back good memories to the point I might play the first game through again (or continue the first game’s DLC which I started but never finished!).

Overall, the latest DLC for Legion offers satisfying closure for both Aiden and Wrench. This story DLC shows players how much each protagonist has grown since their time in their respective games. The growth of both characters is abundantly clear through the Bloodline storyline and how both leading characters react to the world around them. If you’re a fan of the previous Watch Dogs games, Bloodline is a must-play. I’d even go so far as to say I enjoyed it more than Legion.

Watch Dogs: Legion Bloodline tries hard to cover the weaknesses of the original game, and actually does a pretty good job, but in the process of focusing on story and character development, fails to deliver the same gameplay standards.

Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline is easily better than the main game. Removing recruitable NPCs in favour of established characters means every interaction is more meaningful, both between characters and with the player themselves.

This one small change from anonymity to recognizability makes Watch Dogs: Legion - Bloodline a vital addition. It's the best story content in the series since Watch Dogs 2's main campaign, and it effectively redeems the story of the original game by acknowledging the cognitive dissonance of Aiden Pearce's rampage through Chicago. Anyone who jumped on with the second game likely won't get a lot out of these revelations, and it's still probably not a great idea to spend 40 hours with 2014's vision of a hacker just to play this DLC, but anyone who's been with Watch Dogs since the beginning will find a lot to like here.

On the whole, Bloodline is worth playing for those who are, for one reason or another, already invested in Watch Dogs- just don't expect anything spectacular.

Otherwise, the base material is a bit better than the main game due to stronger protagonists presence and an equally stronger background. Besides, it is more of the main game for a few hours, which was not an essential. Full Review »

Not some live service or "recruit every npc ever", no. They want solid story and likable characters. This DLC is watch dogs done right! I truly hope that they make Watch Dogs 3 (or should it be called 4 now?) about Aiden's story that takes place somewhere between Watch Dogs 2 and Legion, somewhere in America. I would be fine with some additional playable character in certain missions, but overall it should be Aiden's story. It would sell A LOT. Full Review »
