    Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a very good game stuffed full to bursting with visceral melee combat and great gunplay. The enemies are evil, which always helps with motivation, and the co-op works very well. If you can avoid the costly suits, all will be golden.

    Warhammer 40,000: Darktide brings on Xbox Series X|S all the depth of its exciting cooperative formula, made up of frantic and visceral combat, support and solidarity for one's fellow adventurers, fast matchmaking, a completely redesigned progression system and fierce endgame content. That said, despite having almost a year to work on console optimization alone, graphics-wise Fatshark has pulled a half-disaster out of the hat: let's hope it doesn't take another twelve months to fix it.

    There’s a truly great game desperately trying to emerge from Darktide. It just never quite gets its head above the water.
