Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is an incredible amalgamation of everything the series has done so far, and produces not only the best Trine game yet, but also one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this year. The freedom we’re granted with the tools on offer is excellent, and combined with stunning presentation, this make Trine 5 utterly essential playing in my eyes.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a co-op puzzling masterclass encapsulated by a wonderfully charming world. If you’ve ever played Trine before, it’s more of the same brilliance in regards to creative platforming puzzles and gorgeous environments.

Trine's heroes return in Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, a bigger, funnier, and more complete adventure with well-thought-out and well-designed puzzles.

The familiar mix of puzzles, jumping, fighting and co-op hasn't lost any of its appeal in part five. Trine 5 has a decent playtime, as well, isn't too expensive and treats your eyes and ears to an atmospheric audiovisual presentation. Real fun, both alone and in co-op.

Trine 5 has no reason to exist. I was shocked when the series progressed past the third entry. Still, I get excited whenever a new entry drops. I find the ten-hour campaigns a blast to play solo and even more enjoyable when friends are added to the mix. This is just a game that knows what it is and rarely tries to be anything else. I think they should dial back progression and combat and focus more on the puzzle solving mechanics as they are clearly the highlight of these games every single time. Definitely recommend this one, it was a blast to play in between so many serious open world games.

The light-hearted narrative and the way the background is created to look and feel like a storybook all give Trine 5 a delightful cozy feel. It’s gorgeous and there is something about the aesthetic that caught my eye immediately, even though I had never played any of the previous Trine games. It is a gorgeous and charming puzzle platformer and I think most people would find something for them to enjoy in the gameplay. The easiest difficulty level makes for a very chill experience when playing. I’d recommend taking this trio of heroes on an adventure soon.

You can easily spend ten hours on Trine 5. Then, unfortunately, you'll forget everything about this game except gorgeous graphics and fun co-op.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a funny 2.5D puzzle platformer. What's more, it can be enjoyed alone or played with 2 friends. As such, you'll argue, scream, and laugh repeatedly. However, there is a serious lack of lore, and this disappointed me.

For fans of the series and its world, I think they’ll definitely find yet another fun, physics-based adventure here.

Four years after its predecessor, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy still is very much bathing in its comfort zone. It is a particularly enjoyable game to play on your own, of course, but playing with others is the bee’s knees. It would be criminal to miss out on the multiplayer experience, which guarantees many hours of fun, laughter, grunts of frustration, name-calling and even temporary misunderstandings that fade into a big smile when you finally get the hang of it. Too few games today offer this explosive mix of action, platforming and thinking to share with friends, whether they are on the other side of the world or on the sofa beside us. And when we are faced with such a qualitative, there is no reason why you should not want to join Trine’s heroes on their adventures for the first or fifth time.

    It's good Trine 4.5.

Still the same nice, fabulous and very cute platforming with puzzles and physics cubes without much of a shift in side direction.

There fixed some aspects of the balance of Trine 4 - removed blinks, leveled all characters and redesigned some abilities, I especially liked the new variation of Dream Shield.

Combats were reduced in number and made them more varied and interesting.

Here's good work on some issues.

For myself I noted some pleasure moments in the narrative and related with it fan-service.
