    At first I was worried it would try too much to be Dead Space, but I feel the game found it’s own balance and path while retaining fun elements from the Dead Space series. The game play was always smooth although sometimes with bigger groups of enemies it felt a little over whelming - but never impossible.
    I also feel the controls could be slightly different in    Completed on normal, xbsx.

The game play was always smooth although sometimes with bigger groups of enemies it felt a little over whelming - but never impossible.
    I also feel the controls could be slightly different in the future, maybe so that hand to hand combat is more thrilling.

    The story was a slow burn but as it kept going I stayed interested, especially to see how characters would grow. The final boss was the worst part of the game. While not difficult it just lost its interesting factor quickly.
    It’s great to have another game in the Dead Space genre/style. I’m going to up the difficulty and give it another play through.    … Expand

    Amazing game everything about it is mind blowing from the graphics to the sound design also the story is simple but meaningful

    Love this game! After a couple of patches it's almost perfect. NG+ makes Platinum trophy very enjoyable. Can't wait for story DLC.

    Great but flawed game! Combat is satisfying but clearly designed for 1v1 encounters. Graphics and atmosphere is 10/10. A simple story that isn't much to write home about, but the cast is good. Played it through multiple times and some enemy encounters are equally frustrating every time you play it.

    First & foremost I don’t know where the hate comes from other gamers & reviewers. The game is probably the best graphical game I’ve ever played the story is compelling , acting is good , the atmosphere is top tier. Looking forward to future DLC if there if there is any. A few negatives with the game being a bit clunky & camera angles do mess up on occasion , would like more variety inFirst & foremost I don’t know where the hate comes from other gamers & reviewers.     This game was really good. It’s a better game on a next gen console. Like the series x or ps5 it did feel a little short If it had 2 more chapters it would’ve been a great length 8 chapters felt fast. But overall the game was really good the story moved from point A to point B really well. I would love to see a second game

    Imo, this is an amazing game. Designwise, all the decisions were made with one goal in mind: making the player feel stressed and helpless. From the combat with multiple enemies to the clunkiness of the protagonist's movement (especially in combat), the camera angle, the lighting, the atmosphere, the amazing sound design...even the, albeit simple, narrative drive to escape from that damnedImo, this is an amazing game. Designwise, all the decisions were made with one goal in mind: making the player feel stressed and helpless. From the combat with multiple enemies to the clunkiness of the protagonist's movement (especially in combat), the camera angle, the lighting, the atmosphere, the amazing sound design...even the, albeit simple, narrative drive to escape from that damned planet...all in all, a triumph highly underrated by reviewers...… Expand

    The controls/gameplay made this overall unenjoyable. Graphics are great, some amazing visuals (but too many dark hallways), Josh Duhamel is awesome. There are few gameplay moments that are truly fun and memorable. But unfortunately its a slog to know what I need to do and fumbling with the gameplay mechanics and control. Picking up throwing enemies and the dodge mechanic at times wasThe controls/gameplay made this overall unenjoyable. Graphics are great, some amazing visuals (but too many dark hallways), Josh Duhamel is awesome. There are few gameplay moments that are truly fun and memorable. But unfortunately its a slog to know what I need to do and fumbling with the gameplay mechanics and control. Picking up throwing enemies and the dodge mechanic at times was extremely frustrating and irritating. Shame really, I should love this game with its SciFi space setting and horror atmosphere. But the gameplay aggravation is what I will remember.

    Tem uma boa atmosfera, porém a jogabilidade é pesada demais e chega a te atrapalhar em certos momentos. O jogo dá uma brecha para uma possível continuação o que me animou para me aprofundar mais sobre a lore do game.

    i don’t get the hate this game got honestly i had a blast playing combat was fun amazing graphics and sound the game was super immersive recommended when the price drops a bit

    I wanted to play this game on launch days but so many bad reviews on this game made me desists. However I got this one recently on Amazon by $40. I think the game itself is good, it is not a survival horror game, it is mostly a third person shooter. Close range combat is freaking bad, movement is really slow, when you fight against a single enemy it is easy but when you are fighting 3 or 4I wanted to play this game on launch days but so many bad reviews on this game made me desists. Close range combat is freaking bad, movement is really slow, when you fight against a single enemy it is easy but when you are fighting 3 or 4 of them at the same time is almost impossible to fight them as camera movement is so slow you cannot predict where the enemies are coming from, so you get punch from everywhere. Then ammo and health is pretty easy to find in the normal mode. Guns are overall good you know standard, graphics are stunning and performance on xbox series x is as expected, pretty smooth.

    Overall I enjoyed this game, but I'm glad I did not pay full price for this because is not worth it, campaign is about 6 - 7 hours depending on your skill so I'd recommend to give it a try when you find it with a cool discount.    … Expand

    El juego salió com problemas, pero a día de hay es un juego al que hay que darle una oportunidad si te gusta el survival horror espacial.
    Va un paso más allá que Dead Space, es un planteamiento diferente y más enfocado al combate y la supervivencia a melé.
    Siendo por ejemplo Dead Space Remake un auténtico Juegazo, sólo puedo decir que contra más lo juego, más me gusta The Callisto Protocol    El juego salió com problemas, pero a día de hay es un juego al que hay que darle una oportunidad si te gusta el survival horror espacial.
    Va un paso más allá que Dead Space, es un planteamiento diferente y más enfocado al combate y la supervivencia a melé.

    Es mi primer survival-horror. Personalmente lo he disfrutado mucho. Me ha encantado su ambientación, con un apartado sonoro, que técnicamente se escucha y funciona de maravilla. Su historia me ha enganchado, sencilla, no es pretenciosa, pero es buena. El sistema de combate me gustado mucho. Me ha recordado al primer tlou, una lucha muy barrio bajera, se siente pesado, y muy duro. No meEs mi primer survival-horror. Personalmente lo he disfrutado mucho.     el juego me parece muy bueno, no entiendo el motivo de criticas tan negativas a un juego que cumple con lo que esta ofreciendo, el combate me gusto, su dificulta esta muy bien y en cuanto a como se ve y se escucha es increíble.
    por otro lado no es un juego perfecto, también tiene fallas en la caída de los fps, en el doblaje (debemos de tener en cuenta que no es un juego triple A), pero el    el juego me parece muy bueno, no entiendo el motivo de criticas tan negativas a un juego que cumple con lo que esta ofreciendo, el combate me gusto, su dificulta esta muy bien y en cuanto a como se ve y se escucha es increíble.
    por otro lado no es un juego perfecto, también tiene fallas en la caída de los fps, en el doblaje (debemos de tener en cuenta que no es un juego triple A), pero el juego es bastante bueno al día de hoy, no se como fue al momento de su salida.    … Expand

    Even though it's a linear game, I enjoyed it from start to finish. Great graphics, gameplay and sound effects. I haven't played a jump scare this good in a long time... The story is also very good and makes you curious to find out more about it.

    Overall, Callisto is a really good survival horror experience. If you like Dead Space, you need to try this game. The main campaign has a lot of passion put into it and I had a bunch of fun with it. The game definitely has some problems here and there, but I think true horror fans will admire it for its fantastic campaign. I really feel that this series will have just as interesting of a world as Dead Space if the series continues beyond this first installment. The story is overall good and the ending begs for DLC or a sequel. Be sure to try this game if you’re in the mood for a cinematic horror experience with a lot of intensity.

    The Callisto Protocol is an exceptional horror adventure title. It will be hard for Dead Space fans to ignore the similarities, but it should be enjoyed on its merits. With slick combat, amazing aesthetics, and an incredible plot, this needs to be played.

    This game wants to be Dead Space really, REALLY, bad, but what’s interesting about that is I haven’t even finished the first Dead Space game and I can see it. Is this a bad thing? No, it’s really not as Callisto Protocol isn’t a trash game at all, they tried some new things with the controls and stuff some of it worked but for me a lot more of it didn’t. The game’s depiction of excessive violence is fun but even it wears on to the point of feeling overboard, especially when you think why they have giant grinding machines in the open like this in the middle of a prison. The story, while predictable, was an enjoyable adventure, but as far as graphics this game looks incredible. But as most of us know by now, looks aren’t everything and so it is with Callisto Protocol.
