    I have had a difficult relationship with 11 Bit Studios since one of last year’s reviews, during which the developers accused me of political bias. Despite this, The Alters can be considered one of the best games of 2025, offering a unique and memorable gaming experience.

The game is as varied as the multiverse that inspired it, accessible to newcomers and challenging for survival fans, comical in its misunderstandings and dramatic in its stakes. An original adventure brimming with good ideas that is definitely worth checking out. In fact, we are going back for more!
