Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a fun and interesting simulation title. With plenty to see and some enjoyable tasks to complete, this will keep you busy. However, a lack of special events and activities ensures that this is repetitive. Furthermore, I couldn't make the radio work and that was disappointing.

A different proposal, but it does not manage to exploit its playability as other simulators do, being its playable loop very limited.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator offers a unique experience, giving players the chance to go driving around the streets of Barcelona. However, it is more frustrating than fun. A lack of any meaningful progression is one thing, but when you are hit with fine after fine, all thanks to dodgy AI, then it quickly becomes tiresome.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a pretty addictive new addition to the genre, but it's giving us a rough ride at launch. It does the basics well for the most part, and features an impressively large and detailed version of Barcelona to cruise around in, but the unintelligent AI drivers, poor performance and various other irritations are significant drawbacks. This has all the potential to be a good (or even great) game, but it's going to take a few patches to get there.

Once you have the majority of the skills have been earned and have a handful of cabbies working for you, there’s really not much else to work towards. That said, there’s still some enjoyment to be had to picking up a few customers and bringing them to their destination within a gorgeous city. Clearly rough around the edges, Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator frustrates in certain ways, yet is relaxing in others.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator disappoints on almost every front, save for its visually appealing city of Barcelona and well-designed cars. The game lacks depth and fails to offer any meaningful engagement.

Taxi Life fails in almost everything. The performance is very poor, the AI hinders the gameplay and the recreation of Barcelona falls very short. The Game needs time and a lot of work to become what it should have been.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is not a disaster, but it lacks any real interest to keep players on their toes. Its 'Management' section is far too rudimentary, and all in all, there is no point in doing anything other than endlessly churning out taxi runs. To make things worse, the game suffers from a lack of finish and numerous glitches spoil the driving experience. It is a shame, though, because the reproduction of some parts of Barcelona is rather brilliant. It is a pleasure to wander through its streets and alleys, which are teeming with detail and life. It is a title that is sure to relax you for an evening or two, but which struggles to maintain a real desire to stay behind the wheel.
