Nov 17, 2025Syberia - Remastered is more like a remake. Despite this, the developers managed to preserve the style and atmosphere of the original.

Nov 28, 2025The original Syberia is, without question, a classic of the genre. This remastered edition, however, is oddly lacking in quality-of-life improvements. The audio suffers from mixing issues, and the visuals are inconsistent, with particularly underwhelming cinematics. While the reworked in-game graphics do help modernize the experience, they’re not enough to elevate this release into a truly definitive edition.
-
Nov 13, 2025Syberia - Remastered is not a perfect game, and there are many moments when it really does feel like it’s 2002 again, but you’ll mostly be glad to experience this iconic story from the very beginning.

Nov 17, 2025Syberia – Remastered is a faithful modernization of a cult classic that will likely appeal most to returning fans or players who enjoy slow, meditative adventure games. While the updated visuals and performance enhancements are welcome, the core gameplay and puzzle design still feel trapped in the early 2000s, often prioritizing nostalgia over modernization. There’s an undeniable beauty in its melancholy story and atmosphere, but the journey itself can feel more mechanical than magical. If you’re willing to overlook its clunky moments and old-fashioned design, Syberia – Remastered offers a heartfelt adventure through a world where clockwork dreams still tick—just a little slower than they used to.

Nov 10, 2025An amazing adventure story remastered in a slightly odd way, Syberia Remastered is not the definitive Syberia experience in its current form. The bugs and issues are overwhelming, but will hopefully be quickly patched up so it can function as intended. The new artwork and environments are excellent, managing to recapture the original art style and atmosphere of Syberia overall, but there are too many negative points to ignore. The core story will keep players invested, but perhaps Microids will need to go back to the drawing board on some of the ideas seen in this title before approaching Syberia 2.

Nov 11, 2025I enjoyed playing Syberia Remastered, but I can’t bring myself to recommend it when the original game is right there and has held up quite well. As a product of its time, it’s a little easier to forgive – or at least work with – some of its flaws. Ultimately, the fact this new version sits awkwardly between a remake and a remaster means that it doesn’t quite feel like either.

Nov 18, 2025Syberia Remastered elegantly reconciles the past and the present, successfully preserving the soul of a classic while making it accessible. The graphical overhaul, improved interface, free movement and ever-captivating art direction provide a beautiful, melancholic escape into the world of Benoît Sokal, where emotion triumphs over technique. Despite a few hiccups and the lack of reworking of the original cutscenes, the essentials are there: a timeless adventure faithful to the original work, which will appeal to both the nostalgic and the curious.
