    Still Wakes the Deep is somewhat dragged down by repetitive gameplay and a lack of challenge in the stealth sections. However, the developers really knew how to create a great horror atmosphere and the oil rig proved to be the perfect setting for the experience.

    Still Wakes the Deep is a fun romp for its short playthrough. The lack of environmental storytelling and exploration is really where it falls apart. Still, this being on Game Pass makes it worth checking out for sure. I enjoyed my time with it, but I don’t think it will stick with me like titles such as Soma and Amnesia have.

    If you are looking for a great terror story, Still Wakes the Deep is calling you. It has an original setting, an amazing monster design and a good story with great moments.

    Still Wakes the Deep is first and foremost an atmospheric experience. Beira D itself is an inherently inhospitable setting, and adding the threat of the unknown is a rather good idea. However, by plunging us into situations we havve seen over and over again, the work fails to emerge from the depths, and risks being drowned by indifference.
