Suit up and ship out to a far-off front as a Trooper in the Deep Space Vanguard, an elite Special Forces group within the Mobile Infantry. It's up to squads like yours to battle against hundreds of bloodthirsty insectoid aliens and take back fallen colonies for the Federation.
As soon as the dropship hits dirt, your trusty Morita Assault Rifle and fellow Deep Space Vanguard Troopers are all that will keep you alive while exploring the hostile surface of the planet Valaka.

You’ll have a blast playing Starship Troopers: Extermination. The online community seems refreshingly devoid of the toxicity often found in games like Call of Duty and the gameplay is genuinely thrilling. While not perfect (occasional lag spikes and enemy teleporting can be frustrating), there’s a lot to enjoy.

It may not be technically on par with other multiplayer titles, but I'll go back to what I often say. If you stick to your guns and do it well, the right audience will come to you. All-encompassing AAAs are out of fashion, AAs like Starship Troopers: Extermination are real gems for fans or for those who love a fun-filled PvE co-op shooter.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is an enjoyable game, but unless you plan on truly playing to follow its progress, I’d wait for the full release which hopefully also includes consoles.

Dragged down by buggy gameplay, unstable framerates, laggy input control and middling production values, Starship Troopers: Extermination makes an ambitious attempt at capturing the spirit of the original 1997 film, but ultimately delivers an average horde/extraction game that isn’t all that much fun to play.

Starship Troopers Extermination may have left Early Access, but it still feels like it could use some work and fine-tuning in some areas. Behind the still somewhat rough surface is a thoroughly entertaining multiplayer shooter, which (as is so common in the genre) lives or dies depending on your comrades-in-arms.

Starship Troopers: Extermination left me wanting. Though it is a fun multiplayer experience, it is flawed. There isn't enough polish and the single-player campaign is laughable. Furthermore, the Galactic Front element felt like an afterthought. It is a shame as the gameplay can be hectic, challenging, and rewarding. If the developers polish things up, then maybe this can reach its potential.

Adding insult to all of this injury, it just lacks any flair that could set it apart from the competition. The combat is fine if somewhat uninspired, the writing and presentation frequently fall flat, and when it comes to chewing through hordes of enemies, there are plenty of competing titles on the market that offer a more compelling experience — the obvious comparisons are Earth Defense Force and Helldivers 2, and even something bug-adjacent like Exoprimal stands out more. Sadly, as things stand I can’t recommend this to anyone except the most hardcore fans of the IP.
