    After more than 30 hours, this game is a clear candidate for the best game of the year and of the generation, a masterpiece that takes everything good that Fallen Order had and improves it, gigantic settings, better combat system and jumps and secondary objectives in which it is a pleasure to get lost and enjoy it more than 50 hours to complete it to 100. the best star wars game in history

    Platforming. In the previous game platforming was too often frustrating. For example rope swings were a source of much frustration to the point I never beat the first game. This has largely been fixed in the current game. In Jedi Survivor I had no trouble with the rope swings and felt the controls for the rest of the platforming was made easier. This has largely been fixed in the current game. In Jedi Survivor I had no trouble with the rope swings and felt the controls for the rest of the platforming was made easier. This is not to say that the platforming is now easy as there certainly are areas will you will die a few times until you figure out the timing and pattern. I suggest turning off fall damage so you lose no health when you respawn after a fall.

    Combat. In a word, fun. I am old and long ago lost my ninja reflexes so I play on the 2nd easiest difficulty setting which made combat much easier but not too easy. I did switch to the easiest difficulty a few times during the more challenging combat sequences. Combat is much like in the first game, fast paced and fun. A new addition to your Jedi powers allows for turning an enemy to an ally for a short period of time which adds an interesting strategic element to combat. The game is a power fantasy that when you nail the timing makes you feel like an unstoppable force.

    Story. Above average. In most games I skip through the dialogue as the story tends to be boring, not well written or acted. The story in Jedi Survivor kept me interested till the end.

    Issues. Graphics in some areas looked muddy and washed out. A couple of the cutscenes had slight lip syncing issues. Overall the issues were minor and I am sure will be patched soon, although it would be nice if games were released when ready.

    All in all a massive improvement over the previous game. I really liked the game world, the lightsaber and blaster combo and yes, even the platforming which I usually hate in games. For this reason I give the game a 9 out of 10.    … Expand

    Good god the game was excellent, fulfilling and gripping all the way through. This has to be the best Star Wars game, and one of the great action adventure games ever. The combat is satisfying with a little challenge to keep you earning those victories. The visuals were beautiful. The music! true to the star wars stage as ever. absolutely grand and fitting orchestral soundtrack. TheGood god the game was excellent, fulfilling and gripping all the way through. This has to be the best Star Wars game, and one of the great action adventure games ever. The combat is satisfying with a little challenge to keep you earning those victories.     This game is AMAZING! It improves (imo) over Fallen Order in every aspect. Traversal is more fluid (no more pulling the left trigger to grab a wall!) And they have added several new play styles to really customize how you want to play the game. I have my favorites of course but I won't spoil it for people who want to discover them in game.     Have seen all the hate on this online and as normal I ignored it all to make my own judgement.

    I have been enjoying since the first load up! so much to do and the story so far has been amazing!

    Great improvement on the first one!

    The game is good. It’s long and engaging. It has a message and doing great in delivering that message. The combat is fun and challenging. I play on Jedi Knight difficulty which is the medium difficulty setting and I wouldn’t wanna go any harder or easier than it is right now personally. The game crashed on me a few times and that’s not acceptable. It shouldn’t work like that and after using quick resume on Xbox series X I realized in a few occasions some fps drops occur unfortunately. I think the problem is solved by just restarting the game but still it shows it is not released fully optimized. That’s why I give it an. 8 instead of 9. As soon as they patch the game and solve these minor issues. The game easily deserves a90 over score. It’s a great game!… Expand

    Amazing sequel to an amazing game and it is well enjoyable even through smaller technical difficulties. The story is amazing and on par with the best of Star Wars and the graphics and gameplay mechanics are beautiful to look at and easily playable.

    Unfortunately the fight system was not improved much, but still the adventure and plaftormer parts are great, with a cool open world, exploring, music, SW vibes. Bigger than the previous one, good logical puzzles, and lightsaber, yes lightsaber!

    Review bombs are ridiculous. Jedi Survivor exceeds Fallen Order in nearly every aspect minus potentially the overall story. This is a must play for Star Wars fans. Performance has taken a hit or two with some of the patches, but it’s more than reasonable. great great game.

    Complete evolution of the first game, companion system, character customization, combat improvements, beautiful and more open environments. in quality mode it runs stable (at 30fps) with beautiful graphics, but in performance mode it needs urgent optimization.

    Also the performance in XSX ist pretty well, I dont understand the issues of some people.

    I’ve had a total of two slight frame drops in my several hours of play through. To be completely unbiased, however, I've also had it crash once or twice. Incredible story and extremely satisfying combat. Customization is next level. Goty contender.

    The people hating on the devs seem to not know how game development works. Long story short you have to apply for disk certification months in advance, and once you're certified you have to submit your game even if it's broken. From that point until release day the devs work double time to patch the game and get it to work. Don't think that the devs knew it'd be broken on launch day, because it's impossible to know if the game will launch broken until the day it launches. You can't delay a game hours before release, and hence the game launched with bad performance on PC. Respawn just drew a bad roll, and there's nothing they could have done about it.    … Expand

    El juego es una maravilla. Mejora a Fallen Orden en todos los aspectos. En Xbox se ve estupendamente. Creo que unos cuantos jugadores de otras plataformas (ps5 y PC) con dificultad para entender cosas simples (o pura maldad) han entrado en la versión de Xbox para poner mala puntuación, pero nada de ello es cierto para esta versión.

    While yes this game does have some performance issues and in some parts feels as if they forced the release just to get it out in time, the positives in this game far outweigh the negatives and it is worth every penny. The story is very good, the characters and character development is phenomenal. The villains are very good.     Отличная игра, замечательное развитие "Павшего Ордена". Играю часами и не могу оторваться, всё очень складно и затягивающе. Выглядит красиво, играется весело, отсылки прекрасные. Периодически проседает FPS и это портит ощущение, но в остальном всё отлично. Надеюсь, оптимизацию быстро поправят.Отличная игра, замечательное развитие "Павшего Ордена". Elden Ring is far worse as far as performance goes and although a stunning game and visuals, this game has far better visuals and runs 10x better. Not sure why that game has a higher score.     I am truly loving this game as it has expanded on Fallen Order. I have had this game freeze twice though when entering koboh and luckily nothing else. Would of gave it a 10 without said freezes, but again my opinion could change as I have not finished said game totally. . And I totally believe people are having issues that should not be present.

    Loving it so far. Loved Fallen Order and this is more than just "more of the same". Its improved and is exactly what I wanted from it. I seem to be oblivious to all the moans and groans of performance and stuttering. If it stutters or dips occasionally it goes straight over my head. Im too immersed in the world to care. LOVE IT.

    I had to make a metacritic account for this review, because specifically under XSX reviews for this game people are still complaining of performance issues.

    On Series X I've played this game for about 8-12 hours so far, and it's been the main game my console has been on. I've had some audio sync issues, but I think that's due to Quick Resume, as this also happens on other games, and even Fallen Order occasionally. I've had 2 complete crashes to the dashboard, but that's not uncommon the first week any game is out. As far as framerate, It's pretty solid in quality mode, I haven't noticed any slowdowns really. And Performance mode is fluid AF. Just seamless animation when it's locked at 1440 for framerate.
    The Story so far is engaging and I'm very much enjoying it. Not very deep into it yet, but it's been rewarding and fun. The new lightsaber stances are enjoyable too, and take some getting used to, but I'm loving Blaster and Crossguard.

    All in all, the game isn't bad, and it isn't perfect, but on Series X I haven't had any performance issues (with the exception of those crashes) and if my Xbox is on, this game has been running.
    8/10 so far, and I'll update if that changes one way or the other.    … Expand

    Beautiful game. While the character models probably could’ve used some work I think the additions made from the first game definitely show how the studio has evolved over the years since Jedi: Fallen Order.

    It's a shame that this game launched with performance problems because it is truly a remarkable game. It improves upon Fallen Order, which was an amazing game. The story is incredible.

    I don't know why complain a lot about the game. I played the game on the Xbox and I think it's great.
    I had no problems with bugs or anything else
    few good games appear lately and when good games appear they are made poorly just enjoy the game
    The graphics are great, the story is okay but otherwise a really successful game

    Pour le reste, le jeu bénéficie d'une exploration améliorée avec des planètes intéressantes, des tonnes de trucs à découvrir sans en faire trop non plus. Les combats sont assez techniques et certains boss (ou ennemis légendaires) vont vous faire suer.
    Graphiquement certains environnements sont magnifiques même si sur l'ensemble c'est assez inégal. Cela reste très beau et maîtrisé.
    Seul problème malgré les mises à jours, j'ai eu quelques chutes importantes de framerates, bizarrement uniquement sur la fin du jeu.

    The game is A LOT better then the first one. The story is a lot better but could of been better, but at least it was better. The open world is huge, they added some side quests, and a lot of new things but the game is not optimised for that tho, I got a lot of lag and my game crashed 2 times.     The performance is still bad but I encountered nothing game breaking in my play through!

    This game outside of the performance is a masterpiece. I love Star Wars, I read the books, keep up with the lore, and play the games and this may very well be the best piece of Star Wars Content since Empire Strikes Back.     Here are the positives
    - Respawn gets the lore. We see things in this game that I never thought I would see outside of books with deep cut lore. I was thrilled by the stuff they pulled and put in this game.
    - It is canon! This is just as much canon as the movies which is great to know!
    - Cal is one of my favorite jedi in all of Star Wars, he gets so much character development in this game. Love him!
    - The whole cast is here and great, love the mew additions!
    - The story. The story is unmatched. It starts slow but it builds into a jaw dropping finally that had me yelling at my TV. This game is shocking. The writing is perfect. What a story!
    - Gameplay! The gameplay is perfect. You start with the powers you had at the end of Fallen Order. You are a Jedi Knight now and that comes with being stronger. The combat is even better, the lightsaber stances are all fun and unique. The boss battles are incredibly fun and fast pace! The platforming is very fun and challenging also!
    - Customization! Lots you can do in this game with making Cala and your lightsaber look the way you want.
    - Maps and world design/level design. Multiple planets, all very big and unique. The level design with the short cuts reminds me of the first dark souls game, very intelligently designed!

    So eventually I had rated this 9 because of the few frame drops I had throughout the game specifically at pyloons saloon, But I decided that this game is a 10, it is the perfect sequel. Definitely as of right now my game of the year

    So this is a better game than the prequel but it does have more flaws. So the combat is more fluid and cal feeling more powerful does make the game better as well- very Sekiro like combat. The enemy variety in the game is decent and I would say slightly better the prequel. However despite this the story was mostly great and the boss fights were done well especially Rayvis- Bode at the end was a bit irrational.     I loved this game from beginning to end. Were there some framedrops? Sometimes, but not nearly enough to take away the fun and attack the developers. It looks beautiful, it beautifully build upon the last game and the story was quite emotional. It also had the perfect length and map size to keep you interested in exploring but not overwhelmed.     L'histoire, n'est pas folle mais reste bonne. J'ai terminé le jeu le retournement de situation est bon, il est probablement le meilleur Star Wars solo actuellement. Me gustaría que la gente que ponemos nota nos dedicamos a puntuar lo que es el juego en sí, y no votar en negativo por algún cierre inesperado o FPS inestables ya que eso se va mejorando con actualizaciones. El juego es un juego de muchos premios. Está echo para divertirnos y si que lo hace, llevo 20 horas. No se dejen llevar por haters.

    Amazing game and a must have for a Star Wars fan. The gameplay is a blast and the graphics are amazing. Also, the characters and story are very good. The world is huge and there are a lot of hours to play.I don't know about the PC version, but on Xbox I didn't encounter any performance issues, but there were a few bugs. Overall, I definitely recommend this game.

    A worthy sequel. I enjoyed my time playing the latest entry in the Star Wars Jedi series. The combat has been improved and the story keeps you engaged. Well worth the purchase and looking forward to the next.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. See I played Fallen Order and loved it, the revolutionary combat and intriguing story made it great. It could pass as a new game and be just fine. Of course, there wasn’t enough customization and there were some bugs here and there + there wasnt enough lightsaber stances. But Jedi Survivor improved on everything. Sure for PC the graphics were bad but not me, I was just fine (I’m on Xbox). The story and customization and everything was great. Honestly the one bad thing about this game is that I didn’t like Dagan Gera’s voice actor he sounded like a toddler. And I’m most definitely hyped for the inevitable trequel. And I hope we can see Kata grown up and Cal and Merrin have some goofy Jedi + Night Sister kid I don’t know how that’ll work but it will. Anyways this game blew away my expectation and I almost cried over Cere’s death and Bode’s betrayal and actions. So yeah 10/10 gonna probably replay it 6 times like I did with Fallen Order.… Expand

    This is a great single player game with great gameplay. I love how it evolved from the first part. The combat evolved a lot and there is a lot of variance how to fight enemies. I finished the first part on Grand Master difficulty. And    A lot of dumb kids bombing the rating without even playing the game.     This is a great single player game with great gameplay. I love how it evolved from the first part. The combat evolved a lot and there is a lot of variance how to fight enemies. I finished the first part on Grand Master difficulty. And now already spend ~15 hours on Jedi survivor also on the hardest difficulty. It brings a lot of joy once you master the parry mechanic and understand how to defeat different enemies (spend 40 minutes on Rancor).
    If you like challenging single player game with great combat - just pick the hardest difficulty and the game will bring you a lot of fun.
    The only negative part is performance, it's not terrible, it's ok. I play on Xbox series X on 4K TV, I have some noticable fps drops time to time, but that is 4k and the console is already 3 years after release, it's analogue of rtx 2070-2080. So if you have rtx 30**/40** series and full HD monitor - I believe there wouldn't be any noticable issues with fps. I mean Witcher 3 had good enough 100+ fps only after many years of release and the game was still good. So this one is great as well.    … Expand

    The Survivor artists have captured the aesthetic of Episodes I-VI so compellingly that the distant planets will engulf you like a sarlacc. At the same time, the writers reflect the reality of the Star Wars animated and live-action series, reaching back to the ancient era of the High Republic. Everything blends into one in Survivor. It represents the best that Star Wars gaming can currently give. [Issue#327]
