    So Sniper Elite 5 is not really a sniper game. As a huge fan of the series particularly 4, SE5 has been a huge disappointment. Graphics are terrible and look extremely dated, facial animations and textures in cutscenes are particularly bad. Controls and mechanics from SE4 have been altered for the worse, even basic things like searching/interacting requires dancing around the item/bodySo Sniper Elite 5 is not really a sniper game. Controls and mechanics from SE4 have been altered for the worse, even basic things like searching/interacting requires dancing around the item/body until the prompt stays up long enough, often at the expense of being spotted by an enemy. The enemy AI is all over the place! sometimes soldiers can't hear you running right at them or they run straight past you crouching on the ground right next to them, other times they can somehow know exactly where you are even when you've moved location and they've come from halfway across the map to find you. Level design is really poor with far too many invisible barriers that force you to take open paths or roads to get to a playable area because apparently you can't hop over a 2 foot high wall or crawl through a gap in hedge to a field right next to you within the playable area. Which brings me to the worst part, forcing you into the open and open combat seems to have been done on purpose leaving very little sniping to be done. As far as i can see, the levels have been designed this way entirely to support the multiplayer element of the game, very much at the expense of the main campaign, which has gone from being a stealth sniper game to essentially being something more like call of duty. Looks like Rebellion are more interested in going on to support the multiplayer aspects of the game so they can sell you add ons. This is also backed up by the rather boring and lazy writing of the main campaign story and it's characters..the writing is just so dull and feels very rushed.     A sniper game that doesnt like it if you use it is fail design. This game forces CQC all the **** time. If you expect a sniper game dont buy it. Im tired sneaking arround buildings and using my surpressed pistol, cuz everything else is useless. They designed the game arround trash MP.

    After almost 3 hours played this game disappointed me, mediocre graphics, effects a little bad, playing in cooperative the connection is quite bad, a lot of lag that makes it impossible to play, you start the game without a silencer in the sniper you only get a silencer in the pistol and when you shoot alerts to the enemies that are still far away, you don't always kill with 1 bullet toAfter almost 3 hours played this game disappointed me, mediocre graphics, effects a little bad, playing in cooperative the connection is quite bad, a lot of lag that makes it impossible to play, you start the game without a silencer in the sniper you only get a silencer in the pistol and when you shoot alerts to the enemies that are still far away, you don't always kill with 1 bullet to the head and if you alert the enemies it is impossible to continue the mission playing on medium difficulty it also has a lot of FPS drops exactly dropped at 20 FPS and constant at 30 hard to see 60 .
    Very good and realistic physics of the shots.

    The AI in this game is incredibly stupid. It has some of the worst AI I have ever seen in my life. I shot an enemy and he ran away. Then he spotted me but the dumb AI was pointing his gun where I last shot him. I shot another enemy AI and he turned around and looked everywhere, when I was right in front of him. The physics are beyond horrible. The missions are boring and repetitive. TheThe AI in this game is incredibly stupid. It has some of the worst AI I have ever seen in my life.     The story is complete garbage. For goodness sake, why are video game developers so obsessed with World War 2? Enough already. It just goes to show how out of touch these developers are. I have asked many gamers I know basic questions about WW2 and the vast majority can't even answer them correctly. Who are these developers trying to cater to? I'm getting real sick and tired of the videogame industry being ran by bully-victims. The voice acting is laughable. The AI can drive vehicles but you can't even drive them yourself. The developers were too cheap and lazy to add driving mechanics. The gore is a joke. You can clearly see the bullet pass through the enemy's skull when you snipe them in a mini-cutscene. When I checked his corpse, his face was magically spotless. I kept shooting his face and there were no bullet holes or blood stains. This game has less detail than most rated-M PS3 games I've played. That is embarrassing for a $60 Xbox Series X game.

    The co-op is trash, thanks to the awful AI. The only redeemable quality in this game is the online PvP multiplayer. Even then, it is ruined by the horrible PS2-like animations and bad visuals. And don't even get me started with those cringeworthy running animations. And these greedy developers want $60? Not worth it. It's on Xbox Game Pass, but I wouldn't recommend subscribing just for this game. As a matter of fact, I am canceling my Game Pass this month. No way am I keeping a subscription with a massive collection of low quality garbage. If you don't have Game Pass, then I would only recommend you get this game until is it $10 or less.    … Expand

    It's just like Sniper Elite 4, but in France. The new invasion mode is great, and the game is a lot of fun. The campaign is NOT very long, but you can replay missions to explore areas that you couldn't explore before. Overall, this game is a 8, but I will give it a 9 just for the crybabies that will say it's bad just because of the graphics.

    Ok, this game has very little invasion and thought that it could literally just be dlc for four. The acting is so bad in cut scenes, it sounds as if they just recorded the initial script reads.     Despite retaining much of the same Nazi sniper skull-crunching allure from previous games, it lacks a true evolution, choosing to stay safe and satisfying without striving for greater.

    There is only ever one reason for playing this game - you have it from the game pass and everything else you already played.
    There is no reason to pay 60 for this game - it is not worth even 1/4 of it. It's just a very, very average 3rd person shooter. Most of the time you will spend not sniping, but playing stealth w/limited mechanics, using surpressed pistol and laying traps.

    Broken. Thankfully I didn't pay for it, as it was included in Game Pass. The gameplay is alright, but it is a lot more CoD than Sniper Elite now.
    Now, the reason I give it a 0 is because it is broken. I finished the first mission, the exit appeared, but after a minute or so it disappeared and didn't come back, so I spent over 2 hours playing for NOTHING. I tried loading a previous    Broken. Thankfully I didn't pay for it, as it was included in Game Pass. The gameplay is alright, but it is a lot more CoD than Sniper Elite now.

    I played for over 3 hours, the first mission. And when I finally came to Marcel's house, there was no key which prevented me from continue and it seems I have to restart the whole mission.
    Of course I uninstalled it, do not play or buy. I played it on gamepads, can't understand why Microsoft adds trash games to gamepass.

Only locations change and slightly tighten the graphics. If you're happy with it, but you can even enjoy Sniper Elite 5. But not on Series S, terrible optimization, sometimes there was a feeling that the game was launched on the Xbox360.     I thoght this game was addictive. Not the best graphics up close. But when you take the view from a far its lovely.
    Story is so-so. Nothing to jump around about, and neither is the voice acting.
    However, i have not played the previous games, sniping is optional sort of. Or you basically choose how to proceed. Going stealth takes time and patience for once. Going brutally in with guns    I thoght this game was addictive. Not the best graphics up close. But when you take the view from a far its lovely.

    I thought it was pretty fun to boobytrap stuff around, just to blow dumb germans away.
    AI is not the best when you are up close and personal. But when you raise suspicion on them, they start to roam and investigate. But in combat they seem to run around like brainless chickens.
    All in all, i thought it was addictive enough. Better than most stuff out there. Great replayability as well. You can easily muster two rounds with this game.

    Sniper Elite 5 is not the most advanced or modern game. In fact, it looks more like a previous generation game. Still, it's a game that's hard to put down because, simply put, it's fun. It remains satisfying to take someone out from a distance with the well-known bullet time.     I liked SE 3 and SE 4 (4 being the best, IMHO). And I liked SE 5 as well. The game looks very good, and a lot of care has been given to the (details in the) environments. So I would have given this game an 8.

    However...: - The game still has a number of (annoying) bugs. One of which blocked me from completing mission 7, which I had to replay...; - The maps are (mostly) large, but I    I liked SE 3 and SE 4 (4 being the best, IMHO). And I liked SE 5 as well. The game looks very good, and a lot of care has been given to the (details in the) environments. So I would have given this game an 8.

    However...:
    - The game still has a number of (annoying) bugs. One of which blocked me from completing mission 7, which I had to replay...;
    - The maps are (mostly) large, but I found that some parts of it could be weirdly empty;
    - I felt the game could have used more innovation or new ideas over SE 4 (besides the improved graphics);
    - The enemies are more active/mobile when you attack them, but still are "not very clever" most of the time. Why a lot of them walk around without a helmet (making them easy headshot targets), also confused me;
    - And last - but not least - Carl (your protagonist) looked nice and thick in SE 3 and 4, but has been slimmed down now. This gives him a head that looks like it is too big, and gives him a boy-ish feel;

    So in the end I will give this game a 7.    … Expand

    Mais do mesmo desde Sniper Elite 3, gameplay segue travada parece que controlamos um robô. O mapa designe das fases sem dúvidas é o pior da série, gráficos ultrapassados mostra um certo comodismo da Rebellion que claramente parou no tempo. Único ponto positivo são os detalhes dos veículos e vestimentas dos soldados muito próximo do usado na época.

    I am avid fan of this franchise as my favourite genre is stealth. To make it even more entertaining I play it on authentic difficulty and it is all about planning and slowly moving forward. This is a great game if you love stealth. Rebellion, please never go open world as this smaller sandbox maps are great and somehow even more fun to explore than open world games.

    Something really satisfying about the kill cam sniping Nazis.

    For me, this the perfect game to waste an afternoon in.

    Essa com certeza é a melhor versão que joguei do Sniper Elite, ainda existe alguns bugs. Porem ficou muito divertido jogar online Coop com um amigo, o nível de dificuldade em algumas fases é alta mas o ritmo e as missões são bem legais. Graficamente no geral são bons, algumas fases impressionam outras nem tanto. Recomendo principalmente para se jogar coop

    Sniper elite 5 is a very solid WW2 3rd person shooter. It features great level design with some gorgeous vistas, level 3 "Spy Academy" in particular was phenomenal in this regard. The pacing and direction closely follows the recent hitman games. The areas are large with many areas to explore, different paths and starting areas can be unlocked. Much like the hitman games the perfect pathSniper elite 5 is a very solid WW2 3rd person shooter. The areas are large with many areas to explore, different paths and starting areas can be unlocked. Much like the hitman games the perfect path can likely be found to speedrun through games. Where this game lacks a little for me is the amount of enemies and the difficulty in maintaining stealth. The levels, especially the later ones, are jammed full of enemies and the stealth options in this game are farily limited compared to other similar titles like Hitman or MGS5. Over and over again I ended up in all out gunfights, luckily the shooting and combat in the game is very fun, if standard, 3rd person combat. A fun game that took me around 13 hours to beat all 9 story missions 1 time. Will look forward to the DLC, thank you GamePass.… Expand

    The game brings a rather careful evolution and is not that different from the fourth installment. Everything has been taken a step further, including the graphics, controls and even the haptic response of the controller. Which, on the one hand, is fine, because it's still a hell of a fun and polished simulator of a WWII saboteur and sniper. [Issue#320]

    With its large and well executed environments, Sniper Elite 5 is a strong follow up to 2017’s previous entry in the series, with a healthy balance of open-ended approaches and a clear direction. Maps are large enought to revisit and rediscover new areas as well as acting as an endless playground to perform trick shots and discover its secrets. Where it does falter is in the occasionally stilted AI that is either fiercely intelligent or completely helpless.

    Sniper Elite 5 offers a very specific treat to choose from. Everything it does, does it adequately and consistently. There are problems such as the poor AI, the low variety in the gameplay and rough graphics, but the whole package is decent.
