Like Atlas Fallen this game has received substantial funding by the german government and it shows...an awfully woke looking pink female poc pirate as the main character oh my what a great idea works really well with the setting^^

Excellently realized setting that effectively combines pirate tropes with elements of fantasy and eldritch horror; Vast and colourful cast of characters; Each character has unique and inventive abilities that make them a blast to play as; Clearly communicates its web of rules and always works as it is supposed to; Every map is an excellently designed stealth sandbox; Affords a great degree of freedom in how you want to approach any given challenge or situation; Sports a lot of variety in the design and visual style of all its maps.

    Bad-
The story isn't much to write home about; Not much of note to do on the Red Marley; Progression through vigor is poorly paced.

    Thoughts-
Going into Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect, and though the game doesn’t surprise or upend expectations in any real way, it does live up to them with great aplomb. Not only is it mechanically tight, dense, and wonderfully nuanced, it’s also an incredibly rewarding tactics experience that encourages you to tackle its stealth sandboxes however you see fit. From the way its maps are designed to how wonderfully varied its characters are in gameplay to how the game’s clearly defined ruleset always seems to work exactly the way it should, Shadow Gambit has all the elements in place to make for an excellent, extremely replayable, and consistently enjoyable stealth experience.

Bonito juego, desconocido pero gratificante al jugarlo, de no esperar nada a estar gratamente satisfecho.

Good game. Mimimi uses the same game design as previous games, just adds a little bit of new stuff and it looks fresh. And I also want to note the excellent control using the gamepad, it's amazing.

While I question the timing of its release being smashed in between two of the largest titles of the year, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is excellent at what it’s trying to be; a challenging tactical squad based stealth game. It’s a deep shame that this is developer Mimimi’s final game, as they’ve since shuttered their doors, but they can be proud of their magnum opus and hang their head high at creating a memorable undead pirate themed experience.

The sadly last title of Mimimi Games sends the German developer out in a blaze of glory. While there’s nothing really new or unheard of, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is an absolute love letter to the tactical stealth genre and blends in excellent, varied gameplay with a charming, albeit superficial pirate story and a vibrant, colorful look. The gameplay style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you enjoy the idea of planning the perfect heist with a band of undead pirates, this is your dream come true.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is a very entertaining game that, although not without some control flaws, kept us entertained for several hours. If you are a fan of tactical titles and have enjoyed games such as Commandos or Desperados, this game is definitely for you, but fans of the stealth genre will also find plenty to like. All in all, an excellent game that everyone should give a chance to.
